I bought four appliances from here (all used). A washer, a dryer, a fridge, and a stove. So far we have not had complications with the stove. The other three we have had issues. At the beginning when talking to the man who helped us look at the used appliances he was very nice and extremely helpful. When we went to talk to someone about putting money down on all four we talked to a lady which I wish I remembered her name but she was absolutely rude the entire time. She looked us up and down making it seem like we were some hooligans trying to buy these or scam them and then gave us a smirk and asked if we were able to pay full in 90 days and I replied "yes we will most definitely be able to pay before the 90 day mark" and she just looked at me and walked away. For one before even buying the appliances we were told that the washer only worked on "normal" which was a risk we were willing to take but we had also asked them to check to see what exactly "normal" meant since there were many "normal" settings on the washer. We went back about a week or two later putting some more money down on the appliances since we were unable to fully pay at the time and fully knowing we asked to have someone check the washer the first thing we asked was "did the washer get checked" and we were told no. Moving towards the day that the appliances were delivered. They hauled everything in and set everything up. Kind of. The stove and fridge were fine. Due to a short length in the cord the dryer was unable to be plugged in. The washer at first wasn't even able to be used on cold water. Only hot or warm. They told us that we needed to have someone come over and figure it out cause they didn't know how. Which is fine. We got the washer to work on cold water now, yay! At first it's like yes we got a new place new appliances. Well the first couple days were fine the washer and dryer are currently at an angle and there is a kink in the dryer vent to go to the outside which is actually a fire hazard which we plan to buy an extension cord for it which isn't their fault, the washer (we found out on our OWN without the people's help) works on all cycles of "normal" (thanks pioneer great help!) The fridge we noticed popped open even after pushing it hard, we called they came and said they'd tell a manager and call us back later they never did and still havent. Now there has been condensation on the things in the fridge (great right?) Our milk went bad and we haven't even opened the carton yet. I went to check it today and the fridge door was popped open yet again and things in there were warm. The sour cream was literally liquid. So they will be receiving yet another phone call. Either we will get the problem fixed, money back, or...
Read more9/11/17. Nearly a year ago, in search of a small chest freezer, I went to Pioneer. I entered thru the back door then proceeded to walk thru the appliances isles 2x in search of a freezer. I looked around for a bit, seeing no one, I left. I went to Sears and was met at the door by Craig, and I purchased a freezer.
This past Friday morning 9/8/17 I went to Pioneer in search of a gas dryer. I found one and purchased it. That evening it was delivered and installed. Unfortunately, it would not heat. The delivery and installation personnel informed me a technician would be out in the morning.
The technician, a very nice person, came Saturday morning and worked on it for over a hr. He informed that the igniter was not working. I informed him...tell them to come and get it, we don't want it.
And, I forgot to add, I asked about a manual and paper work. I was told...they r online now. Ok I understand, but what about those without internet service? Then, I asked: this dryer by chance a demo? the installer informed me it was.
So we paid full price for a demo, that had a bad igniter. Makes me wonder...was this a returned item.
So the wife goes back Saturday AM and buys a different, I believe, a new one. They will deliver Monday morning, 9/11. Not! After waiting all morning, today 9/11, until 1:30, no delivery. At 6:40 PM I receive a call from delivery personnel, they want to deliver the dryer. I tell them...no thanks, I just got home from work. (it was understood when the wife purchased it, that delivery was to be in AM.) Makes sense, to give good service after selling a defective product, right?
I was then informed by delivery personnel, that I needed to call the store to make delivery arrangements if I want it tomorrow. I called, I was informed , how about Tuesday 9/12, PM, or Wednesday. I expressed my...are you kidding me mannerism. Wherein I was told, how about tomorrow, Tuesday, between 10-12. So, we shall see. Hope it works. And hope we did not pay full price again for a demo.
Two stars rating. 4 stars for the technician and...
Read moreI bought a new stove a couple of months ago. The saleswoman chewed gum through the entire transaction, took a phone call in the middle of our transaction, and generally behaved as if my business wasn't valuable. Yesterday, I called to see if they could order a range hood for me; a saleswoman asked if I could hold; I gave her my phone number instead and told her I needed a range hood. She has not called me back, and today I ordered my range hood from a big box store from people who very definitely wanted my business. The only reason I give them 2 stars is because the delivery people are fantastic, and deserve 5 stars! They showed me all the bells and whistles on my new stove, installed it, gave me service and warranty details (those are good, and contribute to the 2 stars), and took the time to be sure I didn't have any questions. I am disappointed to be made to feel that our locally owned appliance store isn't actively trying to keep our local business in their store, no matter how (relatively) small...
