Essex park was a great place to relax in. There are picnic tables and many benches. You can eat here at the picnic tables, as many people do. There was almost always someone here with their dogs, which are allowed. It is waterfront and it has a dock to pull up on with a boat. The trees are spread out and really tall. It feels enclosed. There is even a map of all the trees.

Beautiful park with a great view of the water and the boats. Dog friendly. Lots of shady places to sit and relax. Free wifi and public restrooms.

Somewhat overlooked as most head to the CT River. This spot is shady, picturesque, and has clean public bathrooms!

This little park has something for everyone. The playscape is perfect for younger children and there's a baby swing too. There are picnic tables close by and a paved track that goes all the way around the park for walking, jogging or for little tikes on bikes! Tennis courts are adjacent to the park as is plenty of free parking. Right across the street is the Essex Library so you could visit both in...

Beautiful, restful, well groomed park with stunning waterfront and marina views. Easy access & peaceful. Picnic tables, a large Gazibo, comfortable park benches, plenty of room and space for all. Friendly people. I find a lot of soothing relaxation at the Essex Park. It's adjacent to the great stores, galleries & restaurants in DT Essex. Great town. (BTW: I'm a visitor, not a proprietor...
