I love Cleveland MetroParks. Euclid Creek is a great place to walk and appreciate nature. I have even seen a stork here on the creek, so very cool. The grounds are well patrolled for safety. Multiple pavilions for events in the park however most you have to reserve in advance. There are clean restrooms here too. People are always out walking and riding bikes. There is a basketball court, fitness stations, mile markers, and a playground for the kids. Euclid Creek has been my family’s favorite local park since my children were young and I was teaching them to skip rocks into the creek. We now live within walking distance and love to exercise here as a family. Note: if you zoom in and look in detail the stork/ crane I saw is camouflaged In my pic of the creek. Very hard to see but it’s there. 🧐 it’s in the center near 3 rock slabs in front near last one. 👀. Like this post if you see it! Bird lovers someone tell me which one it is a stork or...
Read moreEuclid Creek is a fantastic area! It was formally the site of a stone quarry which is evident from the big exposed rocks near the middle of the park. Most of the early sidewalks were made from the bluestone that was quarried from this area. Also most of South Euclid was started from the people in the mining community. I go to this park at least once a week. It has a nice fitness course, water access all throughout the park ( though the management of Cleveland metroparks likes to suck the fun out of their parks and restrict water access). There is an all purpose trail that will run about 5 miles if you take it down and back as well as two woodland trails. All of that is fantastic! What is not fantastic is how much garbage is always in this park. The park goers of this place do not care about cleanliness. I am always picking up glass or wrappers. The maintenance staff here for whatever reason can never keep it as well maintained as other Cleveland...
Read moreGood place to walk and bike alongside a creek. Trail is about 5 miles long if you walk it round trip from beginning to end. It is paved, marked and has some hills. There may also be a nature trail on the other side of the walking trail as I did see people walking through some trees but that has to be verified. Creek was a little dry this time. It has some fitness stations where you can stop and do different workouts but those were properly closed because of COVID-19. There are also picnic areas (covered and uncovered), basketball court, and plenty of parking at different areas of the park. For bathrooms, there are some at the beginning of trail on by Euclid Creek Upper Highland Picinic Area, in some of the picnic stops, and there is a porter potty somewhere on the side of the trail. Overall,...
