The dog park is great, the dogs and humans are kind. Communication is shared and the dogs are dog's. đ Love it! There has been 2 encounters sense I started coming here. An own and her dog got hit by a car backing up to leave. Quite scary, I for sure thought the dog was going to get squished. Everyone froze and the ppl left. Then yesterday myself and my pup go, we meet this very nice lady and we had a great conversation. She train's dog's and has 2 german shepherds that are beefy and 3x the size of a typical one. I keep my space, and more so after She mentioned the boy is moody and the girl is sweet. Our dogs play and talking for about an hour. I ended up petting the female, she was good. I wont pet your pup unless you say its ok. Even then I let the pup smells me first juuust to be sure. I'm petting the female, the male comes grabs my arm with his lips no problem no worries no teeth all good. His mom corrects him, tells me he is just checking on me and I'm cool with that. He keeps having interest in me petting the femal and his mom notices, she then mentions that he too wants to be pet. So I'm petting both dogs, then the female walks behind mom and I'm wrapping it up with petting the male the moddy one as I don't want to put myself in a situation the dogs does not like. He was beyond moody that day! All of a suddend he swings his head around an nips my arm.. It was not fun and a warm feeling came over my body. That was freaking scary, the own had been talking about how well trained the two are and how he knows to control himself and that the park was a safe place. I guess its a safe place for him not me. Not cool. I have a huge bruise and scratch from...
Read moreThis place used to be really great I used to love this park and throw it in my dog but I not been there in 3 weeks and neither has my significant other due to medical reasons and I just went back the other day and saw that it has changed dramatically because my dog barks loudly people think she is vicious she's not vicious she just turned one on Halloween she's just a puppy it used to be people would understand but the last two times I was there I had people freaking out on me because she was trying to play with their dogs well don't bring your dog to a dog park if you don't want other dogs to play with them it was insulting and embarrassing and my dog had no fun cuz all she wanted to do is play with other dogs she got so excited so she started barking loudly and people started saying she was out-of-control which was not the case these people need to educate themselves on it's okay for dogs to wrestle and roughhouse as long as he doesn't get too out of control and it's really obvious when they're playing and when they're not I feel like leaving some pamphlets at that Park describing the differences between play behavior and aggressionand if you have a large dog it's like you're automatically ostracized and it didn't used to be like that a month ago I really hope some of the people that know Maddie and me and Joel will come back to that Park so it'll be cool like it used to be it has great trails but the play area is no fun for my dog anymore because nobody lets her play with any other dogs anymore because she's got a loud...
Read moreWe got a lab/husky pup and when she was 5 month old we started taking her to this park since it was near our home.. my pup is very friendly and she got along with all the other dogs. One day around 5pm on a Friday my bf and I were in the park and there were like maybe 2-3 more dogs there... my dog was playing with with some stick and out of nowhere came this big dog and it was a pitbull without a leash and no one with the dog... he/she started smelling my pup and I though they were going to play and boy was I wrong... the dog attacked my pup by the neck and almost killed her. I started screaming and people started helping out to take my dog out of the mouth of the other dog... Till this day no one came to claim the other dog. My bf and I left to the vet hospital and I heard someone in the park took the dog to their home but when I asked in the park who was the owner of the dog, no one came through.. probably didn't want to take care of the $800 cost bill from the vet :/.
Please be careful if you bring your pup to this park. I def'ly learned my lesson in...
