I was balancing taking a stack of yogurts out of the cooler at the supermarket when the door slipped and slammed shut on my Rolex breaking the pins that hold the face to the clasp. Luckily I was able to break the fall of the face with my foot before it hit the ground. I don't trust anyone with my watch. Prior to this I would take it into the Rolex store in the city for service. I've had this particular Rolex for 17 years so it has a great deal of sentimental value. I was looking for some place local and came across this place. The reviews were great so I gave it a shot. I'm so glad I did! The place itself reminds me of the diamond district diamond dealers sitting high above 47th st. It's in an office building next to Willowbrook Mall by The Burlington coat factory. Adam is super professional and even offered me coffee while I waited for him to assess the damage to my watch. Just looking at the machinery they have here you can tell this place isn't a jewelry shop that also happens to service watches. This is a fine watch service shop! They fixed the pins and ran it through a couple of machines to make sure it was functioning properly and still watertight. All while I sat in one of their comfortable couches. The tests did show some variations from optimal but Adam didn't push me to get anything taken care of right away. He simply advised to keep an eye on it and bring it back if it started to have an effect on performance. I was out of there in 15-20 minutes. The biggest surprise was when I reached for my wallet. That's when Adam shook my hand and said "no charge." Now I realize that watch pins are only a dollar but anyone with a fine watch knows you can't walk into a store to get any type of service done without at least dropping $100. It was a very nice gesture that both showed me the type of people they are and earned a customer! These are the guys you want working on your baby. Highly...

I recently purchased a vintage Omega Speedmaster reduced, and had a service done through Shami. Full breakdown, balance wheel replaced, mainspring replaced and a couple other miscellaneous parts replaced, all with OEM Omega parts as theyâre an authorized service center. The owner is extremely knowledgeable, and very warm and welcoming. Many people say that the chronograph module is unserviceable on these watches due to the large number of jewels (47) and âpiggybackâ nature of the movement, but for the very knowledgeable staff at Shami it was as piece of cake.
Itâs running beautifully, cleaned perfectly, and the 24 year old hesalite crystal has never looked better. They were able to regulate my Speedmaster to +1 second per day without the chrono running, and +/-0 seconds per day with the chrono running! Truly incredible for this caliber, as they typically left Omega brand new at +/- 3-6 seconds per day! I was absolutely floored that my humble cal 1143 from the 90âs is keeping time well beyond superlative chronometer status. They were very communicative throughout the entire process, super patient and professional with my zillion questions, and nice as can be. Total service time took 3 weeks, and it was well worth the wait and well worth every penny.
If youâre looking for a watchmaker for your high end pieces, look no further. I will never, ever take my watches to anyone else. 5 stars isnât enough, I wish I could give them 10. HIGHLY...
Read moreVERY FANCY location, quick service, and nice staff!đ° thanks to Shami my 1932 replica Stauer is good as new! What happened was, the strap buckle spring had popped right off and seemed irreparable by my own and my coworker's attempts. I brought it in one day before they closed, guessing I'd pay about $40 for the watchband repair (spoiler alert: it was $0). I entered to find they have a fancy hotel type front desk with a bunch of associates behind it (yes very upscale LOL). They had beautiful jewelry displays, all kinds of necklaces/earrings/etc, with all different birthstones. The man at the front desk took the watch to the back and returned with the fixed one after a few minutes. (I wish I would have seen how they fixed it but I understand this place may be too fancy for that.) He also took the time to show me other straps that I may be interested in - not trying to sell me but just showing me one they had that was similar. I was surprised to find the repair was completely free!!!! And they did not accept my tipsđ . I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I'm very grateful my wristwatch will no longer suffer the indignation of being a pocket watch! I've since buckled it on and look forward to actually knowing what time it is...
