Quality and Expertise - Two words that speak to Olde World Jewelers. My engagement ring was purchased here by my husband. It is BEAUTIFUL and I continue to receive compliments from every person I meet! After proposing, now it was my turn to pick something out - the wedding band! I went here for a few reasons: 1) Great feedback from the husband on the experience and selection, 2) Locally owned, and 3) Expertise. The first point I truly believe you have to experience yourself by walking in but let me do the legwork for you on the other two - Olde World Jewelers has been a family business for over 30 years and it has one heck of a management team (I made it a point to kindly introduce myself to them - this is what makes a community after all). For the third point - Expertise - make sure you find a place that has Certified employees. You may think this is common sense but if you are looking at a diamond, for example, and request the GIA Grading Report, you need to have someone able to explain that report to you. Olde World Jewelers has Certified GIA diamond graders certified by the GIA Gemological Institute of America. Found my wedding band and will be back for all my jewelry needs!...

After having a annoying experience with a well known big box jewelry store (price changed by 400.00 from Sunday to Monday on a 1,700.00 engagement ring) I stopped in here on a whim.

Sure am glad I did!

The entire staff was very nice, and the experience was very low pressure. The owner (George) was in when my girlfriend looked at rings and knew that she liked this one but it was almost 2,000. He also knew that I would have bought it, yet he offered a suggestion on a different ring and having it customized. The ring came out absolutely beautiful and is a unique ring now. Oh yeah, the cost? About 700.00 LESS. They truly understand that the secret to a long term successful business is not to try and grab the largest sale possible but to really take care of the customer and make them a lifelong customer instead of just a single experience shopper.

I honestly hate leaving this review but my husband had my engagement ring made here several years ago, the stone has always been loose, it needed resized and instead of truly resizing it, they insisted my fingers were going to get bigger as I aged and that it would be best to put a beaded golb of gold on the inside of the band to take up space and tightened the stone. It was like they cared more about if my ring fit in 10 years than if it actually fit for the next 10 years and done in the best quality. It looks cheap with it and still never fit because they insisted I wasn't a size 5 when I actually am, it slides all over. Of course they charged us. Stone loosened up after a couple days.
