Thunder Road is a fun, relaxing place for some entertainment in Fargo. It's family oriented so no alcohol is served, but they do have a snack bar & offer bottled beverages. We played the first 18 hole course of mini golf. There's also a second 18 hole course that we did not play. The holes surround a large volcano structure with water running out of it that becomes streams going through some of the holes. The golf course is of the natural themed variety, no windmills or other out of place obstacles, just rocks & water. The course is fairly well maintained, although there are spots were the greens seem unintentionally bumpy & uneven. The challenge is average or a little on the easy side for most holes. In addition to mini golf Thunder Road also offers batting cages, go carts, laser tag & a video game area that's mainly geared towards children with a lot of coupon redemption type games, but some shooters or racing style games for older kids or adults. Prices seem to be the about average for this type of place in my experience. 18 holes of mini golf for two people was $13 & the one video game we played was...
Read moreStopped here on a short road trip into North Dakota. The kids had fun doing go-karts. There was a package that I was able to purchase so they could each get 2 rides. Typical little entertainment park.
Negatives: The girls at the register just sat and talked to eachother and did not acknowledge customers wanting to purchase tickets and food. The girls also came out by the go karts and were flirting with the boys while they were supposed to be working. Kids had fun on the go karts but they are slow and there needs a be more of a warning to put break on when the turn is over., such as the kid with the checkered flag or a repeat announcement as they approach on the speaker.. All my kids got absolutely slammed into. The last time around my oldest got hit so hard she had to sit down after she exited the track and had a headache and backache for the next couple days. Also, the exit gate was not latched, it was swinging open and no one seemed to car. Very dangerous in the case of a little kid wanders off and decides to go in the track. You would think this would be a #1...
Read moreWe have gone here a few years many times when we first moved here, they were closed for about a year or so for remodeling and we couldn't wait for some free time to go back and check out the upgrades! I personally feel the ninja turtle game should have stayed and they could have done without the kiddie picture game like Chuck e Cheese, the to my surprise they cut the games off 20-15 minutes before closing!! I can see if you were cooking or something you break the kitchen down early to leave on time, but games while a nice amount of people are still in the game room?! There is no need to shutdown that early since people when leave anyway once the games shutdown, seemed rather rude and unprofessional...
Since I got there around 7:40 thinking you closed at 10 then seeing 9pm on the door and the games go down around 8:45pm clearly there weren't issues for over an hour and the Ninja turtle game was there right before you guys closed for remodeling, so you're the only 1...
