The River Community Church — Attraction in Faribault

My husband and I went here for the first time today . We are “restarting” in our faith journey and haven’t been to church in almost 10yrs. We loved the sermon today about Christ setting the standard. The sermon was easy to follow, had purpose , wasn’t long winded, straight to the point. The guest pastor didn’t just “recite” the Bible, he spoke from the heart and provided meaning. Felt very personable. A handful of people introduced themselves to us, seeing that we were new. Both pastors made it a point to introduce themselves and say hello before the service started. Pastor Tony prayed for my husband and I who have been dealing with fertility issues for 2.5 years, after the service. We felt very welcome, and like they truly cared we were there. I was an addict and a thief for many years. Within this church I was shown biblical forgiveness which involves Gods' gift of his son Jesus and personal responsibility to begin acting differently. I have been mentored by men and women here to a place of maturity. I feel I owe my life to this church. I have been blessed by God beyond anything I could ever deserve.

This is a place where I promise you will be accepted as you are. You will be taught the word of God clearly in a way you can understand who God is and what he wants from you.

Was at service on Sunday April 24th 2022

Worship leader whiney sounding and tone deaf. Good message from pastor. Guy behind me shook my hand and was friendly without invading my privacy or asking questions. (Can't remember his name but he smiled and shook my hand while his wife took their daughrer to class) Power point was behind on pastors message. Seems like a kid friendly enviroment Heard a man in the back laughing at inappropriate times. Made my wife very uncomfortable.
