Today, went in to drop off some boxes for FedEx to be shipped out. Have call tag scan for them to print out the label to stick to the boxes. I'm hard of hearing, and rely a lot on lip reading. With the Covid-19 mandating everyone in the store to wear a mask, makes it harder for me to communicate with the worker. Worker was not wearing a name tag, so I am pointing out to the worker that is working at the studio counter where Fed Ex boxes are dropped off at. The worker was shaking his head and mumbling at the same time. Wasn't sure if he was saying "No" or "i do not know how". I informed him that I couldn''t understand him with the mask on. Again, he kept shaking his head and pointing to the box. I again had to make it clear that I still could not understand him. Then suddenly he started shouting at me with an attitude and shaking his head. I still could not understand him, so I grabbed the boxes and left. Wasn't going to deal with this kind of service. The odd thing is that the state school for the Deaf is in Faribault, a few miles away from Walgreen. Still workers don't have some awareness when it comes to communicating with the customer on different levels, and wonder if that is how workers there treat the elders with hearing loss?? Suggest workers at Walgreen get a different kind of a mask where it;s transparent for others to be able to lip read. I for one will not go back to this Walgreen, will need to find another place to ship my boxes in the future. Maybe Walgreen workers need to do some trainings on how to communicate with people INSTEAD of...
