Farmington Pond — Attraction in Farmington

Beautiful pond and restrooms were very clean on May 24th 2025. But we're the 🐟. When are you planting some more fish.? Please lucky 🤞 if one or two people come home with 1 fish. How about dumping 3500 fish please Thanks on maybe 🤔 when 👍? How about a couple days please 🙏🤙♥️? Why? Did I Gatekeeper I Jesus Christ Amen give you a 3 because I'm bored 🥱 oh seeing zero fish caught and little kids 😞. Mommy Yes let's go home 😭🥲. What is a fish 🐟 anyway? What there is not that many 🦆 anymore? 😔 What is going on ? Is it poached or something? Do you have a ranger checking fishing licenses. Is shrimp 🦐 allowed to fish with. What is allowed to fish in the pond? How many kayaks as well 👍 so people can fish maybe 🤔 is too many? Do you have a person saying please no more thanks 👍. People need to 🐟. Ohh 😮 wait no fish. This was my very first time visiting Farmington pond. I was surprisingly impressed with how well kept the parking and walking areas were.

However, closer to the pond itself there was a lot of old bread that was molding on the shoreline which was in desperate need of being cleaned. Among this there were other.. false trails leading to the pond which were just plain unsafe.

Alternatively, there where plenty of location which were kept very clean. And even some stone art near the shore. The other visitors there were very polite.

The air was a a fresh change of pace. It seems that the location of the pond is high enough and close enough to the mountain to allow the air flow to more easily push any smog away.

I am not sure if this is something that happens 100% of the time. However, during my visit. It went from bone chilling wind, to drizzling, to a rain, to sunny (and being almost to hot) with a small breeze. Within a 2 hour time...

Farmington pond is a great out of the way place to picnic where a family can stop on the way up or coming back from the canyon. We had stopped at McDonald's on the way home from Farmington Station. We were hot and tired but after eating at an open picnic table in the shade were able to relax and cool down before heading on to our home in Millcreek. A family there was able to use floats and swim around in the pond. I wish we had swimsuits and I would have joined them. The clean public restroom facilities provide a good place to change. When you get to the Chevron station on main street as for directions to the adjacent street that goes to the canyon. Go north until the fork in the road. Stay left at the fork. Then you can go down and round to the park and pond. Farmington natives like myself are usually courteous and talkative about the place. It's a little slice of heaven away...
