What a fun and family friendly place to hang out! We've been in the Northwest Arkansas area for about 6 years and we visited Gator Golf last week for the first time. We have a son in a wheelchair and we weren't sure if we'd be able to go. It was a little hard getting him up the hill and had slight issues navigating the course at certain points, but we were able to take him with us which made it so nice! We are thankful it was accessible enough for him. It's hard to find places like this sometimes to be able to navigate through with his chair. If it wouldn't have been for the steep hill getting up to start, it would have been super accessible!
The owners are super nice, we had such a great interaction when we checked in, very sweet family! The guy at the counter was very personable, talking with your daughter and letting us know we would be ok with our son in the wheelchair before we even paid.
The price is pretty reasonable for mini-golf with your family, especially for 18 holes. The facility is nice, lots of fun animals around and just a cute place to go. We really enjoyed it and was surprised that we were able to really enjoy the time without feeling rushed during spring break week here in Northwest Arkansas! We will definitely go back again, especially for a date night. It looks like it might be a fun place to hang out at nighttime with the fun decorations they have! We can't wait to go back as a family or just the two of us.
There's also a cute little snow come shack outside the front entrance. It was closed when we were there but I assume it's open all summer and what a nice family treat that's not super expensive - mini golf...
Read moreWent here for a birthday after party. We had a fairly large group, the lady owner was VERY rude, VERY short and VERY hateful about EVERYTHING. She didn’t give us enough clubs for our group but when it was mentioned she very hatefully said she gave us the correct number (even after we counted them out to her). She acted like we was lying. $9 per person even small children who wouldn’t even be playing just “think they are”. I wasn’t paying full price for my small child to have a putter, when I said I would just let him play with mine she rudely said how that could not happen. Ended up not playing myself and buying my child a full priced putter that he played with all of 5 minutes bc he was busy looking at all the animals. To which we got reprimanded by the grouchy woman owner for my child “running off” even tho there was one family bedside us there at the time. They had clean restrooms but the rest of the area needed a good cleaning it all felt a bit dirty and the grass was a little over grown. With all that being said, the older man behind the counter was nice and later brought us an extra putter bc he felt bad and coupons for a free game. But his wife/partner whatever she is HAS GOT TO GO. Maybe she just needed a drink, after we started playing her friend showed up to have a “picnic” in the pavilion. Our group had fun at the golf course but the overall experience wasn’t good. I don’t believe anyone from our group will be back and won’t be recommending it to anyone for future experiences. 2 stars is only bc the man was nice after his wife wasn’t around and bc they had...
Read moreI visited Gator golf in the midst of the 2020 pandemic. I got to interact with the new owners and the upgrades and investments they had made on the property are obvious with more planned.
For $10 you can play 36 holes. This is a very safe establishment to visit during the pandemic as you are socially distant and your materials that you touch her instantly sanitized like the golf club.
There are fancy balls you can purchase and bring back each time but it's not required. There's also water and sodas available to purchase. I also saw signage to be able to use their grill or host a party there. I do know in the past that the mystery hole to get a hole-in-one on is the last hole, hole number 18 but now it rotates so you bring in your filled out scorecard which was kind of fun. I know in the past you could have none players go on the course but due to new legalities every person who enters the course has to pay so parents you can't go and just watch and just pay for your kids.
there are 18 holes on the red course which you start at the bottom of the hill and work your way up and there's 18 holes on the blue course where you start at the top and work your way down. The red course was pretty well shaded and the blue course goes through the cave. You can pay to play either one I believe for $7.50 or $10 to play both. There's also an option for unlimited play for the day. Two of us playing all 36 holes and not having to wait for anyone in front of us took about an...
