UPDATE: Such sad news. Feltner Brothers has closed ALL of its locations forever. All because of C-19 and the completely unnecessary restrictions/shut-downs/lockdowns/beatdowns/smackdowns. It truly is sad to see this formerly thriving business be brought down in a matter of just a few months. All of this makes me VERY ANGRY.
Farewell, Feltner Brothers, my family and I had some great memories at your restaurant. You'll be sorely missed.
I've patronized this establishment several times now and I am VERY impressed! Finally Tontitown has some very good quality restaurants coming to town and Feltner's is the newest and most welcoming. The place is deliciously simple and the owners are right there working the grill and serving customers. The food reminds me of the old mom and pop burger places that I remember from back in the 70's when a burger was a BURGER! Not some dime sized thin pattie. It is excellent quality beef and isn't greasy or gristly. The Feltner Burger is the simple choice for a stellar burger that is a real meal and doesn't leave you wondering where the rest of it is when you're done.
The fries and onion rings are just so delicious. I haven't had such tender onion rings in many years. Cooked to perfection and served piping hot, just as all the food is. It is a simple menu that has enough choices to keep you coming back for variety but isn't overwrought and expansive just for the sake of being expansive. There's nothing too complex about any of it.
My mouth is watering just writing this review. Lunch, dinner, family outing or just to sit and watch a game on their monitors while having some great food is what this place is perfect for. The staff is so helpful and friendly and actually ask you to check your order before taking it away to make sure it is right, and in my experience it always is. They're there to please and do it with a genuine smile. Excellent food, great people, simple atmosphere without the brain rattling noise so many places have. You can calmly have a conversation over your meal without having to scream to be heard. So it is quite relaxing.
I'll be going back again and again for the experience that I know will be good every time. Feltner Brothers has come to town and it is a welcome and refreshing, as well as simply delicious, presence. Thank you, Feltner Brothers for giving we in Tontitown an excellent choice for a grand time just enjoying everything great that a simply awesome burger establishment should be. I welcome you with a hungry belly. Right on,...
Read moreFantastic in its own right, but especially considering the price. Not the cheapest burger you'll ever have, but a nearly unparalleled quality and portion for what you pay for it.
For the sake of comparison, they're like a very, very delicously cooked burger from Sonic/Whataburger. My only complaint was that there was not enough cheese. I'm an absolute cheese freak, so the burger was a personal 4 star experience, but I don't think most people would be as off-put about that as me. Just because I have an unhealthy fanaticism towards cheese isn't a good enough reason to deny this restaurant a 5 star, though. But as for specifics, I had the double cheeseburger and it only had one slice of cheese.
The french fries were also very well cooked, and the portion was quite generous. The onion rings were also fantastic! The onion rings seemed store bought, but they cooked them to an excellent crunch. And you can get them with nacho cheese! Sounds like an odd combination, but I'm afraid I'll always need my onion rings to have nacho cheese on them from here on out.
My brother had a chocolate milkshake. He is not a foodie, and the best I could extract out of him was that the milkshake tasted good and there was nothing he would change about it. He wasn't very helpful. My dad said that the beer selection was acceptable. My mother was enthralled by the grilled buns.
Give this place a try if you're in the mood for a good, ole' fashioned, unhealthy, right-amount-of-greasy cheeseburger (or hamburger, if you're crazy. . .). I will...
Read moreI’m not sure if this restaurant is under new management, but we've experienced issues on our last two visits. Previously, it was burnt buns; this time, the onion rings were severely overcooked. When we asked the server with the short, colored hair for a replacement, she hesitated and said she’d have to ask. That’s not the response you expect in the service industry.
While we were sitting outside, I noticed the same server cleaning tables. She started with the seats, wiping food onto the table, and then missed spots, leaving some food behind. Cleanliness is important to us, and it seemed to be overlooked, especially since we were the only ones on the patio.
Additionally, there was a pile of food left on the floor nearby the entire time we ate. My bun wasn’t grilled properly, and my wife’s barbecue burger lacked flavor despite being a favorite in the past. This inconsistency is concerning. Customers expect the same quality and cleanliness every visit.
As a business owner myself, I understand the importance of customer satisfaction. The server’s response and lack of attention to detail could drive patrons away. Basic standards like proper cleaning practices and consistent food quality are essential.
I don’t often leave one-star reviews, but I hope this serves as a wake-up call for staff training and attention to detail. We’re not picky—we just have standards.
I’ve included a few photos to illustrate...
