Our experience shopping for a custom engagement ring and wedding band was disorganized, slow, and had an attitude with it. We were told the store bathroom was not “public” despite setting our budget at 6-10k. We drove an hour to get there. Ultimately told us they don’t have experience getting custom stones cut after several calls and emails back and forth about custom stones. We stood the entire meeting (twice) and were not offered anywhere to put our coats or sit down at any point. Extremely casual for a high end jewelry store. We felt like despite the custom/bespoke/local/benchmade nature of the advertising, this jewelry store is not much different than others in that they don’t do any bench made high end jewelry, just bench repairs it seems. Their process is to model in CAD, then send it off to a factory to have the metal produced, then set the stones. The result is a very finished and shiny, geometric result, not very bespoke or local feeling to us. We must have just caught them at a bad time because the other reviews here give them high marks, but every interaction we had there from emails to consultations and phone calls we walked away feeling misunderstood, misheard, confused and annoyed.
