Wonderfully secluded nature park. Looks like time has stood still throughout the many trails. Definitely dog friendly although I would not suggest your dogs go in the creek. It's dark and murky and while I didn't see any alligators I certainly came across several colorful aquatic snakes. Not an expert but that usually means they may be poisonous. There is a playground as you first approached the trails and for the long one of the trails you can find shelters for cookouts.

The park has a jungle gym and swings for kids as well as a covered area, big enough for a picnic with extended family.

However all the bridges (like 5 of them) have rotten boards which is incredibly unsafe. The path is very rooty, so make sure you pay attention when you walk. I imagine when it was first opened, it was just perfect. The playground is half wrapped in caution tape and construction fence due to some broken pieces and it seems it’s been that way for a while. There is a lovely picnic area that is surrounded my water which we will be back to visit. C’mon Florence, fix...
