After living in Pensacola for almost 15 years, I decided to go, and take my children along. It was a nice family outing on a hot day - but it was not an exciting experience at all. Upon entry there was no one around. We had to wander and follow signs. There was no one in the front...or in the arcade...or really anywhere inside. We made our way towards the back and found an employee in the concession area. He was pleasant and helpful and pointed us in the direction to get a wristband for the Waterpark. We made our way with his directions, but even along that route it was desolate and very run down. When we made it to the little green hut to purchase our wristbands - I popped my head in first to make sure I was in the correct spot because there was still no one to be seen...and the cashier had her head down on the counter. I told the kids to wait outside because it just appeared very odd. I didn't know if this girl was asleep or on her phone tucked away or what? So I said hello - TWICE...loudly the second time and startled her. She did not say anything at all. She just stared at me blankly. I asked her if this is where we purchase wristbands, she said "Yeah". So I ushered the kids inside, we had a group of 5 plus an additional 2 joining us so I asked questions pertaining to what we were capable of doing with each band, times, etc. The cashier was very vague and not very helpful at all. With it being our first time she spoke of things as if we were to know what she was talking about and appeared to get frustrated with my questions, so I decided to just get the basic Waterpark bands and go from there. When we made it through - you could tell that 20+ years ago it was probably a really really fun place to be. For a recent name change, I had higher expectations. The equipment was sun bleached and just a hazy dull atmosphere. There was a decent crowd but nothing crazy where there was a wait time. There seemed to be a lot of lifeguards around which was good - although we did see some towards the later part of our visit huddled up under a picnic table just relaxing as if they were guests. Had they not yelled at a couple kids for being in the wrong area I wouldn't have known they were employees. I jumped into the kiddie pool area with my youngest and it was completely coated with leaves. There were attractions around that once had life, just sitting there collecting rust. Not even 10 minutes into being in the water I found a bandaid. Along with chip bags and other random litter. The older kids said the water slides were fun but that the inner tubes weren't inflated enough so most of them were kind of scared. We went down the lazy river - and it was pleasant despite the massive amount of leaves (and bugs) as previously stated. I know it's inevitable to have nature in the pool. We have one. BUT this was just to a degree of negligence. Not to mention the heaps of litter tucked away in bushes and landscaping that took away from what could have been more relaxing. There's even some cute graffiti spray painted along the river too if you're into abstract art. I'm venting a bit because we dropped a good bit of money for 7 people to have fun. I feel like the money could have been spent better elsewhere. I also feel like this park has a lot of potential. But I was disappointed. Not to be the world's biggest Karen here - really I'm not trying to - but just being straight up with my first visit. Pros: kids had a good time. Cons: It's really run down and dirty. (I didn't even mention the...
Read moreThis is by far the worst water park me and my family has ever been to. A good proportion of the people that work here were blatantly rude to my family. There was a scarce amount of tubes, and the tubes they have are either deflated or do not work for the slides. There is no sign on where to get the tubes, so when the tubes are out all you can do is wait by the lazy river or wait for someone to be done, however everyone carries the tubes around the park so it took a while for my family to even get one double tube, then once me and one of my family members went on the slide it was very slow and boring. As I am writing this I try to think of one good thing about this entire park and I just cannot think of one. The amusement park section of the place is very rundown and slow. I was in line for the go carts, watching them start I saw one of the carts malfunction; once the carts actually started going they were very slow. The place looks very gloomy and sad. Me and my family came in very happy and as soon as we entered, it looked very gloomy, depressing and instantly brought the mood down. Speaking of the mood, the workers set the low bar for the mood, each conversation I had with the workers brought the mood down even more. There was a scarce amount of workers that actually put forth effort to help. However through all of the bad things there, to show that I do not have a biased opinion, the double tube red slide was the best thing, but that is not saying much because at the top of the slide there were double tubes that the workers said you could not even use. The water in the water park section was very foggy and unclear, I felt disgusted being in the lazy river because I could not see the bottom. It feels sad to compare this place to even just a pool, because at least you can see the bottom of a pool. A good portion of the entire park was either rundown or out of order, this park looks like the park in the Goosebumps movie. I felt utterly distraugh when I first stepped into the outside of the outside section, the first sight I saw was a rundown stage with broken tables. It is agonizing to see this park once you have seen other water parks. This park is only used if you want to see how spoiled you have been with other water parks. The workers look dreary and it just adds on to how dour this place is. The weather was very nice and it was sunny, however as soon as me and my family stepped into the place it felt sunless and dull. I try to see the good in things but in this place I cannot find a single good aspect, I cannot even find a mediocre aspect of this place because all of it is just inadequate to be called a water park. If you come here for the amusement park then you will be disappointed because of how many attractions are run down. If you come here for the water park you will be equally as disappointed because of how disgusting everything is. There was rust on everything, one of the slides even had rusty water. I do not write this out of spite for this water park, I just am leaving an honest review of me and my families experience here. We only spent at most 40 minutes here because of how disgusted we were with most of the attractions. If any review on here is five stars, they are either paid to write the review or it is bots on fake accounts. Do not fall for...
Read moreTrust the negative reviews! A friend invited me to go here and i tried my hardest to convince her to aviod it after reading reviews. Against everyones better judgement we decided to give it a shot. One of those “If its awful At least we’ll suffer together” type trips. And well we did just that. We suffered together.
Waterpark only review: (Because the rides from the outside looked so sletchy I refused to let me child ride them) When purchasing the tickets they ended up being more than what it said online. When brought up to the staff they said they know but “they just wont update it.” (assuming management)
We walked in 10 minutes after opening and there was trash everywhere on the ground. The bathrooms had no soap. The toddler kiddie area: half the area wasnt in operation. In the portion that was working the water animal pumps didnt work. The netting for the little slides where off on all of them. Minor complaint however just take them off so there not dangling in the water trapping little kids legs and feet! There were water bugs. The lazy river had nature debris in it. Not just a few leaves here and there. An abundance of broken leaves and other particles. You couldnt stand up without having them stuck all over your body. We noticed that filters in the lazy river werent on or work. In fact the water was so low that there wasnt even a way for the water to get into the filters. The tubes were half deflated. The slides where rusty and slimy. One of our children did say “the slides are fun but the water is NOT.” It was grossing our children out. Children who normally dont may much attention. One area had a traffic cone IN the water. EVERY area we went to the water wasn’t clean and had MANY MANY bugs in it. water bugs (one who feed off algae. The ones who wouldnt be there if the water was properly maintained).
We walked over to the aarcade area for the concessions there. It took over an hour to get pizza. The staff working while they were nice you could tell they didnt want to be there and were very forgetful and not paying attention. Half the games we looked at where also out of order. The bright side was that the bathrooms in here had soap!
The saddest part about the whole thing is that this place has so much potential if the owners would just give it some TLC! I kept thinking about how i bet the place was so fun and so cool back when it first opened. I could imagine the fun place it was. I really hope the owners read all the bad reviews and use it as constructive feedback snd make the changes necessary!
Ohhh also when purchasing tickets the lady at the counter screamed at everyone to be quiet and then proceeded to tell everyone to make their family go outside and wait until the tickets where purchased.
The whole trip was definitely an experience I’ll...
