Heads up! Founaris brothers microwaves their food. Came as a shock to me. Especially since so many people are not supposed to eat microwaved food. A family Greek restaurant has to microwave their food????
Addendum: I got my food to go. The spanakopita is the worst I have EVER had. It was rubbery, chewy and just plain unedible. How awful. I wish I could get my money back. Terrible.
I am so afraid to bite into my gyro.
I'll let you know
By the way, since I am ranting..... The place is so old inside, I swear it was like stepping back (in a bad way) to the 80"s. They need an upgrade to their food and their establishment! MUHAMMED WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR WONDERFUL RESTAURANT?
*The Gyro was actually good. It was packed full of flavor.
**The company refunded the price of the spanakopita.
To management:
I will not be reaching out to you because I would not allow myself to eat there again knowing the food is microwaved. I would have never even known about it had I not asked for a taste of your soup to see if I wanted some to go. But I was refused that opportunity and told you portion out your soup in ready made to microwaveable units.
This is an absolute NO NO to a foodie, and many others who do not even own a microwave. The least you can do is tell people you microwave their food, in case of situations like mine, being told by their oncologist not to eat microwaved foods.
Thank you for refunding the money I spent on the spanakopita, because I absolutely did not eat it. It is at the top of my list as one of my favorite foods and I know a good one from a bad one.

Read moreI have been a customer of Founaris Brothers Greek restaurant for several years. I usually have lunch there by myself. My favorite is the gyros platter ordered from the lunch menu. I feel it is the best gyros in the area. The platter is loaded with a generous amount savory smelling sliced gyros, delicious tzatziki sauce , pita bread and a lettuce, onion and tomato garnish! Inside of me resides an invisible secret hungry imp and this platter fulfills the desire of that imp. I have also had one of their several pizzas. Be prepared as mine was very hearty wafting a savory tomato sauce , spices and cheese aroma that made my mouth water. The pizza was very filling! Their chicken Parmesan with spaghetti is equally very good. Recently I tried their spaghetti with meat sauce ordering it also off of the lunch menu, and it also went off of the chart in my mouth with that powerful Italian pasta and red sauce punch that everybody craves! It was so powerfully perfect and delicious that I seriously considered buying another order to take home and freeze for a meal later in the week! Wow! Forunaris serves a wide choice of traditional Greek and Italian dishes and their recipes must be highly regarded family secrets. Please give them a try, and bring a friend. The staff is professional, friendly and well groomed. The place looks attractive inside and out. - clean, well attended and causal. Their is plenty of parking and the highway 29 location is ...
Read moreI had never eaten here before, but it was a family staple for my sister growing up, so we tried it this evening. Everything we had was fantastic, our server Rachelle did a great job. We ordered the fried cheese and side salads to start, they came out so fast. The cheese was so hot and fresh, the cheese pull was insane. The salads were also fresh and quite delicious. My sister and our date had the spanakopita, the phyllo was so crisp and flaky, and the spinach mix was so creamy and cheesy, I highly recommend it, if you aren’t getting pizza. If you're in the mood for pizza this is definitely a great place for it. We ordered a medium pizza, with peppers, olives, mozzarella, feta, and gyro. It was absolutely stacked. It was so hot and so delicious. I had to use a fork, but I'm not complaining. For desert we had the baklava cheesecake. I will say it was the okayest of the items we ordered, and while it was certainly delicious, the phyllo in the baklava topping was a bit limp from refrigeration, and the baklava filling was mostly just a cinnamon swirl. Over all not bad, but not quite what it had the potential to be. In closing, I would highly recommend Founaris Brothers too anyone seeking great pizza or Greek cuisine. The food and service were excellent. We had a very pleasant experience and will...
