Waffle House — Restaurant in Florida

My husband and I got a carry out meal and got home to realize my food wasn't in the bag. I was missing a chili, grilled cheese, and a waffle. I called the store and got a machine. I received a phone call soon after from the waffle house letting me know my food was on their counter but she would put my name down to have my food replaced whenever I wanted. I tried to go in and get it tonight but the woman working said my name was not in book and she could t help me. I showed her my call records from the night it happened at her request but was still denied my food owed to me. The woman acted like I was trying to get over on her and was borderline rude. If I was trying for free food, I'd go for more than a bowl of chili. I asked her to leave a note for the next day but she informed .e she would be there the next few days and she didn't intend to help me. I could afford to buy another meal but the principle of it really aggravates me. Rights right and wrongs wrong, my buddy Ernest Joe used to say......he's dead and gone now but that saying...

My wife and I eat at Waffle House quite regular. The one on Pensacola Boulevard in between the O yo Motel and the Clarion. For some crazy reason this morning a meal that generally cost us about $15 was $24. And The Taste and quality was way off. They forgot to put chili on our hash browns for the second time this week. The ham on my wife sandwich tasted spoiled. And the waitress was extremely rude. If we didn't eat there about 19 times a week because we live next door at the Clarion and have for a number of months. We really wouldn't be able to voice a educated opinion, but since we do live next door and we do eat there so often, we have the option of saying shame on you Waffle House. This was our second time in 2 years stopping at this Waffle House, store 393, on the way to Orlando. 2 years ago this young lady was there, and was the best waitress I've ever had. Her name is Lecretia. I've never seen a waitress that was as good at her job, cared about the customers, and was as efficient as she was. We were super surprised and stoked to she she was there when we returned this year. This young lady was not only taking orders, delivering food, taking call in orders, and keeping everyone happy, she was also training a new employee on how she did things. My wife and I were impressed as we sat and listened to her explain the ropes to the new guy with out missing a beat for the tables she was covering. Whatever this lady makes, is not enough.
