I love this country library. Its has 2 floors with an elevator for wheel chair accessibility. The lower level is for the children. They have an exploring/learning/developing section for the kids to play and learn. Activities teach kids life skills such as: •Logic/Comprehension Development- big foam building blocks •Mechanical/Comprehension Development-toy tool set with items to screw/unscrew to put together and take apart •Artistic/Creativity Development-big touchscreen computer games to draw and show artistic abilities. There are also computers for the kids to play on as well. And of course the upper floor is the main adult library. They have activites for families and offset lots of programs for adults to sign up for as far as reading clubs and incentives for kids as well

The library is very clean. The men's restroom was clean, all stocked, and in good repair. The atmosphere here is nice, very pleasant, and peaceful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I went in for what was supposed to be a few minutes and wound up spending close to 2 hours in there. Great place to escape from the business of everyday life.

Whenever our grandson comes to visit, we make it our business to visit storytime at St. Louis County library for Valley. We brought his dad 32 years ago weekly. We always have a great time. The storytellers are animated and patient. We are so happy that this is one our favorite options for his St. Louis experience.

Overall, I like this library, been coming here for years. I know that times have changed significantly since I was a child but I was taught that the library is supposed to be a quiet place, even in the children's area. The library staff at the U.City library was strict on us. They taught us to be quiet or speak in a hushed tone, and to not be disruptive because people are reading, working, trying to concentrate, basic library etiquette. The people at this location allow the children to rip and run through there like they are on a playground outside. They sometimes tell the kids to stop running, but the kids don't listen. The parents are sitting right there and not disciplining their kids, which after a few warnings, they should be put out. Suspend them for disorderly conduct, and not obeying library staff. My kids have asked to go to a different location that's not as rowdy because it has gotten absolutely ridiculous. The parents and kids need to learn...

Love love love the St Louis county library. Amazing facilities and so many programs for all ages. For kids specially, not only an amazing range of books and multiple copies, plus the read and play kits, sci finders kit, and many more resources. Their website is awesome and very user friendly and not to mention amazing online resources. We usually visit the closest to home branch but this one is special coz of the kids area. Creative games and activities in the discovery zone. Do visit this and take advantage of the facilities and resources...
