Overall, I like this library, been coming here for years. I know that times have changed significantly since I was a child but I was taught that the library is supposed to be a quiet place, even in the children's area. The library staff at the U.City library was strict on us. They taught us to be quiet or speak in a hushed tone, and to not be disruptive because people are reading, working, trying to concentrate, basic library etiquette. The people at this location allow the children to rip and run through there like they are on a playground outside. They sometimes tell the kids to stop running, but the kids don't listen. The parents are sitting right there and not disciplining their kids, which after a few warnings, they should be put out. Suspend them for disorderly conduct, and not obeying library staff. My kids have asked to go to a different location that's not as rowdy because it has gotten absolutely ridiculous. The parents and kids need to learn...
Read moreI love this country library. Its has 2 floors with an elevator for wheel chair accessibility. The lower level is for the children. They have an exploring/learning/developing section for the kids to play and learn. Activities teach kids life skills such as: •Logic/Comprehension Development- big foam building blocks •Mechanical/Comprehension Development-toy tool set with items to screw/unscrew to put together and take apart •Artistic/Creativity Development-big touchscreen computer games to draw and show artistic abilities. There are also computers for the kids to play on as well.
