Mann Meats — Restaurant in Florissant

Okay let me start off by saying yesterday was my very first time I had this barbecue. So I was looking for a barbecue spot and I asked my brother I asked him did he know any good barbecue spots in the area and I told him that I didn't want to go to Bandana's I didn't want to drive out very very far 4 BBQ so he told me about this place called Man Meets.he said they used to come up to his job during his lunch break and serve barbecue and he thought they were excellent. So it's about 6 and they were going to they were closing about 7 so I decided to give them a try I actually ordered the burnt end sandwich and combo so I got my food I drove off. Initially when I first got my food as I was driving I pulled in a parking lot I decided hey I want to give it a try real quick before I get home cuz it might be a little cold or whatever I just want the freshest out of this sandwich I can get. So I'm not going to lie when I first put a piece of the sandwich in my mouth it was very cold I was it's kind of upset because I was looking forward to some barbecue and don't get me wrong but taste was still good it's just that cold barbecue and you're expecting it to be hot that's kind of a problem. so I called up there and I spoke with the manager she was very nice she was very sweet she apologized and she told me to come back up the next day I can get me another sandwich that's no problem. So I said okay that's not a problem I'll eat it tomorrow while it's hot and I figured the place was bout to close anyway so I was like you know what I might as well go ahead and go up there tomorrow and get me another sandwich I'm going to give it another try. After I hung up with the manager over the phone about 45 seconds later she called me back and said do you live close to here you know they apologized they wanted to make it right they was willing to drop me off a sandwich atvmy home which I was very very shocked I was amazed and I said hey I'm actually around the corner I can come pick it up so she said no problem come right on up when I got there I waited a few minutes they were making fresh BBQ just for me just for me and when they brought the barbecue out I look at my platter they gave me so much food I was so happy and let me tell you oh my goodness that was the best barbecue I have had in over 20 years honestly I think this company really redeem themselves with me just by the excellent customer service to make the order right and I even express to them this is my very first time eating this barbecue and I'm not saying they would of lost me as a customer I would have probably gave them another try but they enhanced my very first experience from okay to the best .Customer service goes a long way with me 150% and I mean yes the food was excellent the burnt ends they were so good that was so moist the barbecue sauce was very very very good and I recommend this place to anyone who sees this post you will not be disappointed this place did a total service recovery with me and I appreciate it.So I'm going to recommend this place and once againin this is a must try the barbecue is the best I ever had in over 20 years so I appreciate this place for taking care of me and now I'm a customer for life I think you guys aregare I'm going to send everybody your way that's looking for...

The food is great! My problem was the service. I order delivery 2x in the same day because the food was that good! The first order they forgot the soda. It was whatever. The second order in the day, they forgot the soda again. I called up and the girl I spoke to didn’t apologize. Told me she couldn’t refund anything at that moment that she would need to wait till the next day (Saturday) but didn’t get my info. I asked if she needed anything more from me, she then took a moment and confirmed my orders. I felt like she was too busy to handle my complaint which is not a way to handle business because you will not improve/grow from those obstacles when handle in such way. I asked if there was a reason the drinks were missed both times in the same day. Her response was the person not handling it was not observant. (Still no apology) I said 2x in the same day? Her response was they are still new to this. (she was referring to deliveries) My frustration is, mann meats was able to be active on social media and responding to comments (one comment from mann meats even mentioned boredom). They have posted about business being slow recently as well. I want to support the business but if they cannot provide everything in the order then maybe deliveries need to be reevaluate. The delivery fee is almost $8. I am fine paying that if my order is going to have everything I purchased. And 2 errors in the same day with my orders doesn’t give me much faith. My conversation with the girl on the phone did not settle well. She didn’t have a rude tone she just didn’t seem to care at all. I will be surprised if she remembers to refund tomorrow. They need to work on their customer service skills, how they handle compliant calls, and come up with a better system on their off days ensuring customers orders are met if continuing deliveries. What can I say that hasn't been said by plenty of other people, I can say this, in the aftermath of the Carnage and the carcass of all the food that I consumed I can safely say that I am sated. This food gave me the itis, also known as food coma. It has been a while since I've had home cooking add an Eatery. The experience that I got when I arrive there was Sublime to say the least, as I walked into the door the first thing I could smell was cooked meat Smokey BBQ through my mask and it was potent. I was literally stuck in a daze as I tried to let them know that I was coming to pick up an order. The crew / family all gazed at me and curiosity if I was the customer coming to make an order or pick up one I had called previously to let them know that I was running a little late and they had no problem waiting for me when I grab the food I can feel the heat and could smell through the bag, it was actually at that moment that I had asked them if they were a family-owned business to which they replied with yes. It was then that I told them this is my first time eating here and that I had discovered them while I was on my way to work and there was a gut it out School Bus barreling down the highway right next to me. Looking at the name it got me curious but I could never figure out where it was or if it was a food truck that randomly goes around the city well tonight I found out right around the corner from my house has been one of the best barbecue places I've ever eaten with portions in quality that are assured and well worth the price. This will go in my bookmarks for one of my favorite places to eat at here in St Louis next to sides of Seoul on page, chimis Fresh Mex on Woodson, Chuck a burger on the Rock Road, and Sweet Spot Cafe in Saint Ann.
