VFW Post 4105 — Local services in Florissant

This place is my home away from home. You may say well “Brittany, you’re a member here and those are your fellow veterans soooo it has to be.”

If you knew my personality I would say - no,I am honest no matter what sooooo.

Let’s start with the environment. It’s by other bars in the area so I guess you could “Bar hop” if you are younger or know the downtown Florissant area. I am from Chicago so when I go To the vfw I usually stay there. The crowd is both older and younger but everyone here will make you feel like home regardless. They have ALOT Of events some are family friendly and some are more geared towards adults. They have dinners - where they raise money for the post to help fellow veterans or families of fallen vets. Some of it goes to local community as well.

Bartenders -

Randy-We love when Randy is working. He is funny- interacts with his customers.Has great taste in music! He is the perfect bar manager for this place. Hardworking and he knows when to keep it real. One time I was struggling and he could tell. He told me to go home and rest. As a young woman who is also a veteran - it made sense. He’s just a great guy in general.We absolutely love hanging out when he is working.

Jen- This woman whew!!!! She has a whole family and she is still up here working like crazy. She is the kindest person and gives off the mom vibe for sure- Pretty sure there’s a few times she’s told Me to stop dropping F bombs. . She really cares about her customers and she is always asking how other people are doing. She lights up the room because she is just that caring. She is also super professional.

JoAnn - The realest bartender and probably person I know. She makes an amazing Bloody Mary - She is funny & always telling a good story. I just love her personality in general, you can tell this woman is strong as hell the second you meet her.Plus side is her husband is very good at pool Too! So come enjoy a drink and get whooped in pool.

This VFW will make anyone feel like family. If you come here be respectful and remember that this is a home to many veterans. Follow their Facebook so you can see our fundraisers or dinners we have. This is a white veteran only establishment! My friend whom is a retired US veteran and I visited this horrible place. We sat at the bar had a drink minding our business I should mention my friend is a white male I am a black women. The bartender noticed us huge and share a small kiss she stormed over to us and said this is not that type of place! I looked at her confused for a Secound and then asked her what she meant by that ? This angry bird went on to say that nobody wants to see him and I together and that we should leave. I was shocked and disappointed that this was happening to me and a veteran in a vfw post . An argument started between her and I and she called her comrades over and proceeded to physically and forcefully remove my date and I from the premises. Our 1st visit. It's by far the b-e-s-t fish we've ever had. We are seniors. Even our picky child said was the best shrimp she's had! All the workers were helpful & courteous.
