United Check Cashing - Folcroft — Attraction in Folcroft

I received a check through my retirement fund. I needed the cash, on hand, right away so I did not want to place it in my bank. At first, I went to the location in Morton, on 420. I walked in, to see a woman behind the counter, just glaring at me. (Now, this is my first time ever, walking into a check cashing place) I was already a little anxious, and to add to it, I had a very unpleasant woman who was about to wait on me. I slid my check under the glass, to only get a response of “ Wait, where do you even work. What’s this check for ? We can’t cash this here, I already called someone earlier. You have to go to the bank who wrote the check. “ The closest bank that wrote the check is all the way out in King of Prussia. I was feeling pretty bummed. That experience was not as easy as advertised on their site.

I drove to folcroft because I knew I’ve seen a check cashing place. I figured this would be my last shot at cashing it before I had to figure out what to do. I pulled up not even realizing they were another US check cashing location, and immediately was bummed, but figured what the hell, I’d give it one more shot.

Your employee Donna was sitting behind the glass, and was extremely approachable, and made me feel comfortable instantly. When I say Donna took care of me and had cash in my hand within 8 mins, I am not even joking. She was absolutely phenomenal. She called the bank where my check was cut from, to have them just confirm that they did write this check and yes the money was legit. That was it. A thirty second phone call that the other woman was to lazy to do. Donna is the only reason I am giving 5 stars. She’s phenomenal and I will be back. But only to this location! Thanks again Donna. Took my daughter to cash her pension check and the cashier was very rude. I was looking for a pen to write down something and she snatched the pen thru the hole and said You need to wait rudely. Then my daughter said hello. I am here to cash a check. I just left Walmart and she said I’m not cashing it. I can refuse service. Sad. I would not recommend this place to a dog. Donna was extremely rude , I did not understand what she was saying she refused to cash my check , super unprofessional. She was cocky, literally had me in tears because of how disrespectful she was to me. She has no respect for others. Extremely poor customer service. I wanted to purchase a money order also.
