Middleridge Trail loop is a fantastic trail to hike. Takes about an hour to complete the hike at a moderate pace. The climb at the west side of the trail can be challenging for some folks as it’s fairly steep but the reward at the top is worth it; you get a Birds Eye view of the American River, Nimbus Dam, and the Sac State Aquatics Center. The trail is quiet and peaceful. When we went (4/1) the grass was lush and green from recent rainfall which makes it for a beautiful hiking experience.
Anther reviewer mentioned having to pay $10 for parking. Here's a tip to save. Park by Sunset and Main Ave. Small parking area that's free where you'll find the Middleridge Trailhead.
