Subway — Restaurant in California

This is actually one of the few Subway locations that seems to care about what you order. I hit this spot for lunch frequently and get roast beef, turkey breast, or the Italian BMT on sourdough. They're reasonably generous with both the meat and toppings. I also like the fact that they recognize if the bread is dry and toss it if it is and give you fresh bread. It's Subway, but it seems like they actually care about the end product they hand over to you. I tend to eat a late lunch to skip the rush, but they cut down to one worker after the lunch rush, so if your thinking is like mine; you might end up with 2 people in front of you with only one person making sandwiches. There was a lot of construction happening outside when I visited, and the location was clearly understaffed-only one person working. She was an Indian girl with glasses, and despite everything going on, she handled it all with incredible professionalism, patience, and a positive attitude. The bathrooms were closed, no nachos, and there was no fountain water available-only bottled water for purchase, which was inconvenient. Normally I'd give this 3 stars due to the conditions, but her outstanding customer service made it a 5-star experience. She absolutely deserves recognition...

This shouldn't happen. I've never seen a manager or owner acknowledge they made a mistake and still charge for their era. I asked for a number 4 which is 6inch drink and chips. Instead I get a 12 inch no drink or chips. I was told she believes ordering a combo only tells her what sandwich you want. Even though I never asked for a 12 inch and she even acknowledged that, yet still treated like I made a mistake. The only mistake I made that day was a trip to this SUBWAY.. never again.
