I love Mike's Music as it is the only local music store that we have in town... Maybe it's time to get another one as they have a great variety of instruments to choose from and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Most of the staff, I believe, plays instruments, as well. Not sure if that is something you have to have in order to work there, idk...
I went in to get my guitar strings changed by Levi. He even cleaned up all the wax (Spatter from a candle🕯️) that was on my guitar and tuned it accordingly.
When I got home, I felt like my E string sounded a bit twangy, so I brought it in and he played it again and it sounded fine. So maybe it's in my head, most likely it is as I am a horrible musician who absolutely loves music... What a combination!
I wld definitely recommend going to their store for any of your music needs.
I believe they also offer music lessons so that is pretty cool, or "based", as the young generation says.
I definitely have my eye on a uke there, but it's $200.00 and I'm all out...
Read moreTook my daughter's beginner instrument in for repairs and was told it was not worth fixing so I told Dan I would buy a used Instrument. He found one and said it would take a bit to get it ready. I therefore went by the shop to get the old instrument so she had something to use in the meantime, saw the new instrument and agreed to a price range and time frame for pick up. I called at the end of the time frame and the instrument was not ready for pickup. A few days later Dan called me to say the instrument was ready and he was putting it out on the floor for sale. When I told him I had said I would take it he said I had not put any money down on it (he had not asked) and he didn't want to miss out on a potential sale thus forcing me to drop everything and go in to pick it up and pay for it immediately. The instrument, of course, was at the very high end of the price range we discussed. As my daughter is only in 6th grade I will spend my money on instruments elsewhere and be sure to let the world know...
Read moreI’ve taken the time to read all of the negative reviews...it was a good laugh. Mike was great, Dan was better, and Andrew is the best! Talk to these guys about any concerns you have and you will get answers. As a customer, don’t assume things without voicing your concerns and then get mad when your assumptions are wrong. A lot of knowledge in the shop and common courtesy from you will go a long way. Don’t post an ignorant review before at least trying to work it out with these guys. It is a business after all. They have sold a guitar on consignment for me in the past and I’ve purchased a few from them. I get strings, pedals, cables and most accessories from Mike’s. Great experiences all my life at Mike’s. Thanks, Mike’s staff!...
