This park is incredible and beautiful. A trademark of Fort Collins. Great large open arms, lots of mature trees, beautiful scenery both landscapes and people!!!!! Note: an angry drunk man with a large white dog attacked my dog today, no more than 5 minutes later after our situation that occurred, the man was very insistent to keep allowing his dog off leash to attack others. And his dog again attacked ANOTHER dog. I proceeded to leap into action running full speed to jump in between to assist the older 8 year old dog as the white dog pinned him and then proceeded to bite him 3-5 times before I jumped between. Within moments over 3 happy groups minding their own business were obligated to leave for safety reasons. Park overall is beautiful and amazing,☆☆☆☆☆¡¡¡¡¡ use discretion with older-grandparent-aged grumpy man with large white aggressive dog!! This dog attacked twice in front of me.☆☆☆☆☆☆ (Unfortunately several Children were present, so I could not address the situation with the standard preferred method.) I can't imagine he has friends or family so likely does not have a Facebook and likely never see this, but if the stars align and there is still miracles in the world and you are the gentleman with the white dog at city park today, and you are reading this, please message me and I'll send you my location immediately so that we can discuss the...

My young children love this pool. Range of fun things from toddler to big kid slides, lazy river, and a super shallow end for the babies.

While I love this pool, I can't stand the at least 5 lifeguards at any given time shouting at people about the arbitrary rules. Here's one rule: every hour, all of the children have to get out for 10 minutes for "Adult swim" where all of the parents of the children get out to watch their kids. Why not like 60 minutes in the morning or on Tuesdays?

Another rule, absolutely no life jackets for kids in the deep end. Again, WHY?? The kids can be over there (so not a splashing issue), but no vests? No floaties, yeah, it's a small pool. Life jackets are a whole other thing though.

I get that this is a pool and that drowning is a very serious risk, and I am no lifeguard or expert, but I have never had such trouble with lifeguards yelling at everyone. The lifeguards even seemed unhappy to have to enforce these rules. (There were so many more).

Does this pool need more rules than the indoor pool at Epic or Loveland Rec Center? I'd recommend those so you can enjoy your swim, plus they are cheaper and less crowded.

Picture here is from a birthday party where it was rented out, but on a regular day, it was packed...

Such a gorgeous park! From the moment I arrived, I was struck by how beautifully landscaped everything was. The grass honestly felt like a dream to lay on—it was soft, lush, and surprisingly comfortable, perfect for relaxing under the sun. Around the lake, I was greeted by playful squirrels and calm ducks, which gave the whole place an inviting and natural charm. There’s even a water park area that was open for public use, and on a warm sunny day it looked like the perfect way for families and kids to cool off and enjoy themselves.

As I walked, I noticed a group of people quietly gathering near a couple playing guitars. Out of curiosity, I asked someone what was going on, and he explained it was a Pokémon Go event! That explained the crowd’s friendly and respectful vibe. Scattered picnic tables and benches made it easy to pause and take everything in, and the playground—even featuring a historical cannon—was a unique touch. Overall, this park offers relaxation, entertainment, and a sense of community. I will definitely be back to experience it again, because it beat any park in Houston, where I live, that...

Absolutely stunning, safe place to relax or take kids. Below are pros and cons. Pros: Safe neighborhood with everyone’s kids riding and walking around unattended. Beautiful green grass with well kept shrubbery/water. Plenty of space for events like soccer and some sort of lacrosse that was being played. If you play Pokemon Go, there are lots of pokestops and such. Animals are allowed! Lots of fishing spots for those that like that sort of thing. LOTS of equipment for those who play tennis, go on playgrounds, and need pavilions. Lastly, the entire neighborhood is stunning and well-kept. Cons: Parking was plentiful but still hard to find. There aren’t any food places nearby.
