Coontie Hatchee Park — Attraction in Fort Lauderdale

Nice neighborhood park; it makes me wish I lived closer. The improvements recently made are completed, and the construction barriers a few other reviewers have talked about are no longer their.

The new beach is shown below. The mangrove island of the shore works to break up the waves and avoid erosion of the sand, but its not doing a great job yet (as you may be able to tell from the pictures). I suppose once the mangroves grow the beach will be more protected, but in the meantime I hope the city periodically replenishes the sand that...

The location of the park is near in my place where I'm staying,my apartment. I came here 2019 until now. For me there's a lot of improvement, they have playground for children, an exercise thing for the young and old and if you have pets especially dogs,I highly recommend this park because you will see Jehovah's creation and if you love the ocean, you can see big and small boats sailing and you can go fishing too. One of my run through spots on my nightly bike ride. Nice & peaceful. Love the muskovy ducks, though they used to lay about in the middle of the lot. Quite a few in the surrounding streets got ran over flat. Broke my heart, so I started shooing them away from the roads. Lo and behold, I rarely see them in the street anymore!👍 It's nice to see the families of them waddling around...
