Do not go to the one in Tampa. I at first liked this college. I failed out of the program needing two more classes to complete the course. This school is a fast paced school meaning you take one month classes and you have to learn an entire book within that month. You have to learn up to 10 chapters or more the first 2 weeks with a midterm, presentations, and research papers. I wanted to get out of the program several times but was told I could do this. LIES. I know myself and knew that I could not handle a fast paced program. I eventually made it far but it came with a cost. My health was bad. I wasn't sleeping much, I fell into depressions, and I was always sick with asthma. See? Not for me. Still the director kept pushing me forward telling me that this was meant for me. Well she was wrong. I have no problem with my failure. My issue is with the staff of Keiser university who have nothing but incompetent fools working there. When I failed my class I did not show up the next day. I emailed the director telling her why I could not make it that day. She never responded to my email. I then went to school the following day to sign off from the school and was told she was on vacation. I asked the Dean if I would owe any money to the school because I was using my husbands VA. She said no but to check with the VA office in that school. I went to speak with the man there and he said I would not owe the VA or the school any money. Christmas comes around and I get billed $3000. I failed the program in October. I go back when the school reopens after the holidays to ask about that. I emailed the Dean before that to which he never responded back. The billing lady checked for me and she said "oh the balance was taken off." I believed her and went home. Months pass and I get a call from a collections agency that I owe 3k to Keiser. I don't know whats going on so AGAIN I go back to this college. No one knew what the hell was going on. Eventually I was told that the reason why I owe Keiser was because they had to pay the VA back the money that the VA paid for my last class. So in other words Keiser lost money so they go after me. My next question to them is why was I not notified about this balance. First they tell me I don't owe, then they tell me I do, then they tell me my balance was taken off and now this? I would have been able to set a plan with this school a long time ago but no, they didn't notify me and they send my balance to the collectors who have been harassing me telling me to pay $300 right away after knowing that my husband lost his job as well as I because we were moving to Texas and could not pay that amount. The billing lady supposedly tried to get me out of collections and all she could say was sorry you have to pay through them now. I talked to the Dean yet again and nothing was done. So to them its not their problem after they put me through all that crap and all those run arounds. Great job Keiser University. You need to hire more competent people here. I wish I could talk to the president but no one seems to want to help me contact him. So NO I don't recommend this college. Try other Keiser schools but not the...
Read moreFirst and foremost, I really hope that Keiser employee's are not writing reviews as has been previously stated. My experience with Keiser has not all been bad. I am retired military and this was my first college experience. The year of general education classes was extremely easy and the teachers seemed a little burnt out. I think that is the downfall of the one month classes. I'm sure anyone can imagine how boring it must be being a general education teacher, repeating the same thing month in and month out to students that are only taking their classes out of obligation. My biggest complaint is the dishonesty about the core programs. I went as RT. I was told they had 90% job placement. Obviously that sounded good to me. What they did not tell me, and wont tell anyone is; about 1/3 of the people going into RT actually graduate. You have to teach yourself the majority of the information. We were constantly reminded that we should have prepared before hand. The reality is, they do not have enough time to teach everything so they guilt the students into working over time to make up the deficit. In my class we started with 14 students, by the end of month three there was 6. These were not lazy un-dedicated people like the staff will tell you. My issue was that I had to put everything else on hold, teach myself and pay 50K (what am I paying for). That brings me to my biggest complaint. The job market is saturated with RT's. The wages are being driven down so low that it makes it impossible to pay back your loans. I know the school is a business first and they are all about the money, but still, I think they did not have to lie about the job market issue. For the record I did not fail out, I dropped the course out of a culmination of things from being frustrated with the curriculum/teachers and the fact that I could end up spending years looking for a job. Oh, and do not let them BS you saying they find work when all they are doing is working "prn", that means as needed. If they are lucky they are earning 16$ an hour and working 10-20 hours a week. How does one justify a 50K education that pays them 18K a year. Not to mention the high end you will earn is about 40K a year. Im not saying keiser is all bad, just do your research, you don't necessarily need an AA to work in the fields they offer. Personally I do not want to spend two years and 50k to compete against other people with the same qualification that spent 1 year and 8K for the same thing. Just do your research and remember they are sales people. They tell you what you want to hear then guilt you into committing. I am just glad my credits from General education will transfer so I only wasted...
Read moreBE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE BOOKSTORE! I love the classes and Professors, hence the one star but support from the bookstore is way, way way, below par. As a student there, I love the University, the business program and all my Professors, yet I purchased a few books, with COUNTLESS concerns that I documented with the University staff and college professors, without resolution. The latest is a rental that I purchased on line, fulfilled by the Jacksonville bookstore team and sent to the Fort Lauderdale location for pick up, since the closest location to me (Palm Beach Flagship) location has a manager that shady is the best way I can describe it. So back in MAY, I checked with the bookstore by calling on the 11th when the order was ready and was told that it is open on Saturday from 9 AM to 2 PM. I even checked on Google to get the directions and verified the hours again. Stopped at the campus around 12:30 PM on Saturday, after driving from Delray Beach (about 40 minutes), and was also told by the front desk that they are open until 3 PM, but then went to the door upstairs only to find a locked door. I then checked with the library person that verified that the door was closed. When I went downstairs, I was given the excuse of "They were open only during the first week of the summer semester, and that was last Saturday." When I asked if they were aware that the semester started AFTER SATURDAY on 05/08/2023, the Monday after the weekend they mentioned, oh no that is not how we have it on our calendar....I felt I was treated like an idiot because the from desk personnel argued my position. Just llok at the schedule posted AT THEIR DOOR! Now, June 22nd, the rental is returned because since I never picked it up and had to buy from another vendor. I contacted the company that runs the bookstore, Follett, responsible for the return. As expected, they mentioned it will be refunded, yet the Keiser bookstore customer service has not refunded any funds and they keep closing the tickets sent from Follett, and cc me on double emails to confuse me or forget the concern. I did mention that I will review publicly their treatment, but it seems they LOVE upsetting people that are professionals and do not just throw money at them. At this point, a BBB complaint is going to be sent for them and let's see how they support students (that have 3.91 GPA by the way, in Presidents List of KEISER.) This was a simple cautionary tale for all you future students out there. Remember, WE pay for our education and pretty hefty if you consider the college loans, THEY nickel and dime for a return of an item never even picked up or used?...
