We stopped by Michelle Flavors Caribbean and were instantly welcomed like family. I had the oxtail with rice and beans, plus steamed vegetables — and let me just say, every bite was packed with rich, slow-cooked flavor. The oxtails were tender and deeply seasoned, the veggies were fresh, and the rice tied everything together perfectly.

My husband ordered the jerk chicken with beef and rice. They had just run out of jerk chicken — but instead of turning us away or substituting, they cooked fresh jerk chicken for him on the spot. That alone says everything about their customer care. They made sure he got exactly what he wanted, no shortcuts.

I arrived at 5:00 PM for dinner and the only options were curry goat, curry shrimp, oxtail, and some dry up looking fish. None of it looked appetizing but I decided to try the curry goat. When asked about plantains or anything else on menu, I was told “I should have came earlier, all the food is done” Lol, excuse me? It is dinner time, why is this company not making more food to accommodate the dinner rush. This is a restaurant that just recently moved to this plaza, therefore you should have more than enough food since you are promoting this “new” business. I ended up having diarrhea meaning the food was not prepared properly. $20 was what I paid for meat and rice, no veggies, no salad, no plantains, no other options to choose from. Would not go again. Rip-off and rubbish. Disgrace...

I’m not well versed in “Caribbean” food however, if you find yourself looking for “real” food, not just a crappy patty thrown on a bun you can’t beat this place. To start, the service is AMAZING. Everyone working here is always pleasant and greeting you with a smile. They seem happy to be there which sadly isn’t common place today. I came in here one day on my lunch break on whim and now I find myself grabbing my lunch 2-3 times a week here. Almost 2 months now. I haven’t had a bad experience or a bad meal yet!
