Fort Mill, east of I-77 has needed this. The new owners have done an excellent job with a creative and fresh menu. My husband stopped in just to check it out one afternoon and brought home their frozen home-made lasagna. It did take 1.5 hours to cook which was fine. It was not heavy in sauce and very good. We love good pasta and would get it again.

This led us to stopping in for lunch the next day. By 11:30 am on a Friday they were getting busy. Their menu offerings made it hard to choose, but I’m always looking for a good crab cake sandwich. Packed with a fresh cake on the right bun, this was the BEST crab cake sandwich I have ever had. It was not overcooked, tasted very fresh and had a lightly crisp edge to it. And I would even compare it to crab cakes in local fine-dining restaurants.

My husband loves onions and absolutely loved the chicken salad with a side of roasted potato fingerlings.

They have wonderful options to create your own charcuterie board at home. Also, a nice selection of wines to choose from.

Fantastic service....

The Speckled Pear in Fort Mill, SC, is an absolute gem! From the incredible food and wine to the thoughtfully curated market items you can take home, everything about this place is delightful. The owners are warm, welcoming, and exceptionally talented in the kitchen—you could easily spend hours chatting with them. Every dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly executed. Their tapas menu strikes a great balance, offering options that range from light bites to heartier fare, making it ideal for any appetite.

We also learned they offer catering, which I’d love to try in the future. On a chilly evening, the cozy atmosphere was just right, but the space also shines with potential for warmer weather thanks to its large, open doors, fenced patio, and inviting outdoor vibe. Whether you’re stopping by for a meal, a glass of wine, or browsing their market, The Speckled Pear is not...

My husband and I checked out The Speckled Pear last weekend and have added it to our favorites list! We love the concept of local ingredients and a thoughtful, curated menu. We got a custom charcuterie board with help from the wonderful woman behind the counter - sorry I didn't get your name! We chose 3 meats and 3 cheeses, some homemade pickles and she added some local honey and strawberries for sweetness. We browsed their wine selection and talked to their sommelier for a recommendation that would pair well with our meats and cheeses. Then we chose the truffle mac and cheese from the seasonal menu. OMG. Everything was amazing. Their little market has fresh, homemade pastas and sauces too. We can't wait to go back and have been telling all our friends about this little gem! Go check it out! We need more places like this in our area, family owned and amazing,...

Went there for lunch on a Saturday, nice to see that the place was full. The husband and wife owners were welcoming and instantly felt the friendly vibe. They have a regular printed menu and a hand written specials menu and also offer pasta or grilled cheese as a kids menu. It all looked good. We ended up ordering 4 different sandwiches and everyone loved them. They focus on healthy food and good presentation. You won’t find starchy fries or high fructose sodas here. They also have market type food in a refrigerator. Strawberries, Romain, Cucumbers, and fresh bread if you want to take some home. Lots of wine and local beer selections. Would be a nice date night place. Forgot to mention that they also have great coffee. Had a whole milk latte and it was perfect. Sorry Humble Cup and Mud Puddle, if this place opens for breakfast you might be in trouble.
