I took my cousin shopping for her first apartment since she was headed off to Fort Wayne for college & would be getting her first apartment near by. Filled with excitement & hope⦠Met with snarky, condescending attitude like we were wasting the sales clerk time..
This trip was nothing but a waste of time & filled with 100% regret. We left empty handed & have never felt more defeated. That ended what was going to be a day filled of shopping & memories.
We were gaslighted & pushed into something she couldnāt afford or didnāt want/accommodate her living situation. She has worked so hard to save (I was planning on helping her if she needed an extra few hundred as a surprise) but she wanted to pay cash not to add on credit/debt on to her name or didnāt want to run into the situation where she couldnāt afford they monthly payment since she was going to be juggling work & school but school was the main priority not paying credit off if she didnāt need to.
She also felt belittled because she was on a budget. But she budgeted as a young adult & saved and is being smart with her money but was made to feel cheap or ābrokeā because she couldnāt afford what the sales clerk was trying to push.
She left in tears and made her rethink is this was the right move.
& after reading the other reviews Iāll save you the trouble & let you know now that, you wonāt have me in your system cause I didnāt shop for myself so please donāt try to gaslight me & my review & experience like you did her. She is not a very confrontational person so she would have never said anything & she is & was nothing but polite. The only wrong thing she did was choose to come here and come in on a budget.
But I cannot sit back & not bring this to everyone else attention. I didnāt say anything in the store because she begged me not to for her sake while in store. But...

I explained that I was concerned that warranty would be defective. After several days, no response from anyone. I made a trip to the store and spoke to Marc again. He said I had to deal with customer service who will handle the claim. I called and spoke to someone in customer service who emailed me a claim form. It clearly says any rips to the mattress voids the warranty. So, I complete the paperwork to get the $3000 mattress replaced, nearly 2 weeks later and a couple of emails, no response. Finally, I go into store on Lima Rd. and they get someone on the phone by name of Michelle who says that Beauty Rest does not replace mattresses. My only recourse is to accept a technician to come and sew my $3000 mattress. I have paperwork which clearly states, torn or ripped mattresses voids the warranty. Michelle offered a $100 discount. I threw the phone down on the desk and walked away.
Issue #2: Two weeks after I received mattress, I went to store and said that I am having back aches daily each morning after sleeping on the mattress. Marc said give it 30 nights because there is a break in period. 28 days after sleeping on it, I go back into the store and am tol the store that says 90 day comfort guarantee. Basically I was told nothing could be done. Beauty Rest has no policy for comfort they say. I pointed to the sign and no such disclaimer. I was escorted out of the store by someone who claimed to be a manager. I asked for his name, he refused to give it to me. Beware! Read Google reviews before purchasing from this business! Look elsewhere

Was eager to help accommodate our needs in the right furniture that was suitable for our family as well as my husband's health issues. We chose zero gravity to help with the back, neck, heart and knee health issues. She educated us on the benefits of this type of furniture. She helped us stay within our budget. She even helped with discounts that were available to help our budget. She was very understand of us not making an immediate decision and stay in touch a few times over the couple of weeks while we decided. She was patient,?kind and helpful in every aspect. Ordering our furniture was a breeze once we decided and getting delivery set up and a date as soon as possible If you need furniture come see. HER she is phenomenal. She is located at the JEFFERSON RD Ashley Furniture. Do yourself a HUGE favor DONT go to the Lima Rd store . They are crooked and will run your credit and order furniture without your permission. They are pushy and even at one point was rude and persistent once we told them no we would think about it. Going back into the "Lima Rd" store to question the furniture being ordered and maxing out our credit seems to be a laughing matter to them. They denied doing so after it was confirmed they DID do just that!! So please make it a smooth and pleasant experience and no pressure whatsoever, see Samantha at Jefferson Rd Ashley. What a pleasant young lady and the manager Steve is right up there with her. He was very accommodating to our specific needs and seemed to want to help in any way possible even if it cost him a headache š.
