If I could put ZERO stars I would. I typically do not leave reviews, but my experience here was worse than the worst. I came to Fort Wayne for a work trip and got off late with my employees. We had a late night and needed something to eat so we decided to go to Taco Bell. We decided to go inside just to use the bathroom and we were immediately told to leave and that the lobby was closed. Keep in mind the doors were open and I really had to pee. The bathrooms are in the front so I was already in the bathroom and a woman yelled at me from outside and said whoever just went in the bathroom needs to get out now. I opened the door and said can I please just use the bathroom and she refused. Then we went through the drive thru. I asked for a Dr Pepper and they said they did not have it, but it popped up on the screen as if there was and she immediately took it off. When I politely asked, she was rude and said there is a button for it because the systems are all the same but she does not have it at this location, which is fine. Then I asked for a wild berry Baja blast (meaning a freezee). She stated we do not have a wild berry Baja blast and I said just the wild berry freezee please. We ordered three STEAK grilled cheese burritos, nacho fries, and a Crunchwrap supreme. When we got to the window the two women were not friendly. One handed me a mixture of wild berry and Baja blast which they originally stated they did not have but still gave me? I don’t like mt dew so I asked for just the wild berry and she was clearly upset by this. Then when we got our food, the quality was AWFUL!!!! The nacho fries were old and hard as a rock! When I bit into one my coworker literally asked me if I bit into a bone. There were barely any fries to begin with and seemed as if they had been out all day or maybe even days. The minuscule burritos were chicken, not steak, and overall terrible quality of food. I am not sure if this was intentional due to the encounter inside or just because this location is bad. I would not recommend going to this location at all and it was a waste of money. I’ve looked at other reviews as well and it seems like this is a...
Read moreUsing their phone app I ordered 2 Crunch Wrap Supremes (both customized - 1 to my wife's liking, and 1 to mine), 1 order of Cinnamon Twist, 1 order of Cinnabon, and 2 drinks. The order was marked pick-up would be immediate (as opposed to the other option of "later"). After setting in line for about 3 minutes, I finally got to the drive-thru intercom, announcing my self as an online order and giving my name, I was told that they were out of Cinnabons and sub with another order of Cinnamon Twist (I agreed). When I finally got to the window (approximately 3 minutes later), I was once again told that they were out of Cinnabons and could sub the Twists by the same person I had just spoken to at the intercom (I agreed to the substitution).
Waited at the window for over 5 minutes for my order to be prepared. The worker at the window then handed me my order and I proceeded home. Upon arriving at home and opening the bag I found that all we received were the Crunch Wraps (with no marking to distinguish which was which). I went back to Taco Bell, Explained the situation at the intercom and was told to drive around (taking another 3-4 minutes to get to the window). The drive-thru operator sacked up the Twists, and before she handed them to me I asked for a couple packets of Diablo sauce. She stated that they were out of Diablo sauce, so I asked for Fire sauce instead. Almost immediately she then handed me 2 Diablo packets.
Really I have just 3 issue here: 1- service was extremely slow, 2 - My order was not complete when I received it, and 3 - apparently Taco Bell has no method for the customer to be able to determine what they received (with 2 or more similar orders), other than cutting/tearing into the orders to see their contents.
With alternatives for inexpensive Mexican foods close by this Taco Bell (such as Moe's, Salsa Grill, Guadalupe's Mexican Grill, and Cebolla's Mexican Grill), I would think that their service needs to improve in order to stay...
Read moreI have lived in the Ft. Wayne area many years, and have eaten at this and other local taco bells thousands of times. I have to say that this location is by far the worst managed taco bell I have ever eaten at. The service is unbelievably slow. And in spite of asking you to repeat your order 2 or 3 times, they still get it wrong.
Today was the last straw for me. I went inside to place my order because the drive thru was backed up 12-15 cars (not a busy time of day either, they are just very slow). I ordered the new spicy chicken tacos. The guy who took my order acted like he was on drugs and asked me to repeat it.
After I got to my car, I discovered they had totally screwed up the tacos. They had sour crème on them instead of the spicy sauce. Only the supreme are supposed to have sour crème.
So I took them back inside. A manager and a cashier stood right behind the counter, and ignored me for 10 minutes. Then they both just walked away without ever asking me why I was standing there. Horrible customer service. The worst ever.
I threw the bag of tacos behind the counter and walked out. They kept my $12 but I didn't have another 1/2 hour to wait for someone to (attempt) to make things right. I knew the odds were good they would screw it up again. So I will remember the $12 they ripped me off as a reminder to NEVER visit that location again. They have proven over and over that they do not deserve my business.
The service has always been sub-standard at this location. But a couple years back they remodeled and had the store shut down for remodeling. They kept the drive-thru open part of that time, but apparently business was not good enough to keep any experienced employees. Ever since the reopening, the service has been absolutely abysmal.
The manager is the same lady as before, but apparently has no idea how to train people and doesn't have what it takes to get things running smoothly.
