BUYER BEWARE PLEASE !! Bought a really nice looking living room set. The customer service was great. We had bought a man made leather living room set that the sales person said was just as strong as leather and would not fall apart. After two years the couch has a worn area the size of a basketball on the area you would have your head so everyone can see it. It looks so bad and is also falling part at the seams. It is starting to do it on the other side too. We had bought a warranty, which by the way do not suggest ever doing because they do not honor it. The warranty is through another company so they do not honor the spitting or falling apart. Their warranty only covered punctures, ink stains or accidental damage NOT defective material. This does not make sense! The lady at the store admitted that they have been having a problem with this man made leather but would not replace it even after admitting it to us. After a few phone calls and arguing we finally got a 300 dollar voucher to use at their store which does not come near to replacing the couch and it benefits them due to the fact that we would be using it in their store and have to add to it. I am highly disappointed due to the fact that i had bought a couch from Leath furniture that lasted me 25 years and this is only the second set of furniture i have purchased. I told the lady i wanted something to last another 25 years. She told us this set was great and two years later i am pissed and sickened because I cant afford another set to buy. Now the other loveseat is doing the same thing. I have always kept the seat part of the couches covered by sheets that are the same color as the couch. Never would of imagined that it would falling apart at the head area and sides. The other thing that happened was a clunking noise when you pulled the lazyboy seat back. They did order part for that but was going to charge me 120 to put in due to 60 one way and 60 another to come to our house. So I guess we have to take the couch to them or pay. I understand that that is what a lot of companies do but considering my couch is literally falling apart i thought they would at least do that for free. I will have a hard time going in to spend the voucher. After that I will never ever get anything from this store again. YOU HAVE...
Read moreThis was my first experience buying nice furniture for myself instead of Ikea furniture, so I was pretty apprehensive. I did a huge amount of research about furniture brands, stores, and generally what to look for. I went to nearly every furniture store in Fort Wayne looking for my new bedroom set. I finally ended up at John Klopfenstein Furniture at the Fort Wayne location (they have their main location in Leo). By this point, I had a pretty good idea about what I wanted, and had looked at their online site and picked a few that I was interested in. Most of the ones I liked were from the brand Liberty Furniture. I went in to the store and was greeted by one of their sales representatives, Jerry Tribolet. He was fantastic and walked us through their very impressive selection of bedroom sets and even grabbed their full catalog for me to look through. I ended up picking a set from Liberty Furniture from the Hearthstone collection that I saw online. I was thrilled that they had part of the set (in a different variation, but the same style and wood treatment) in store and it was even more beautiful in person. Payment was a breeze, no hidden fees, delivery was only $79 (For them to deliver it, carry it up my stairs (worth the $79 alone!), and assemble it). I was told that the set would arrive in 6 weeks and I would be contacted then in order to set up a day for them to deliver it. I'll be honest, I was quite worried about the set coming in on time, it being the correct set, and for delivery to go smoothly due to it seeming to be a common complaint among most furniture shops. 4 1/2 weeks in, I got the call that my set was in and we set the date for delivery the next week. The delivery men (Ron and Zach out of the Leo store) arrived on time and were an absolute delight. They got the furniture in and up the stairs with no problem and easily assembled the bed frame. I am absolutely thrilled with every aspect of of my furniture purchase and LOVE my new bedroom set!...
Read moreOn Monday, October 29th, my wife and I went in to purchase a new recliner, one with heat and massage. We saw the 'deal' to buy two chairs for a special price. I was able to take my chair home right away. The sales lady said my wife couldn't take the one she picked out because it was a floor model or something. Showed my wife three fabrics that were "in stock" in Leo. Wife chose her color, sales person wrote up sale, we paid for it and my wife was told she could pick up her chair the next day, Tuesday in Leo. She gave them a 45 minutes heads up that she was coming to pick up chair. After signing for it and going around to the service door to pick it up, she waited 30+ minutes while they hunted for chair. She went in to talk to staff at sales desk and was told the warehouse manager was in meetings all day and no one knew what had happened to the chair we had already paid for. After another 10-15 minutes, she was promised that it would be delivered, free of charge on Wednesday or Thursday at the latest. At 6:30 pm she received a call from warehouse manager. He told her the chair "just wasn't anywhere to found" and she could have a 'loaner' until hers came in. She was told that it would be at the very least 3-4 weeks to get chair that was ALREADY PAID FOR. GOT OUR MONEY AND SO IT WAS A "TOO BAD, SO SAD" FOR YOU SITUATION. Wife was told that she could maybe have a different color. Why would we choose a color and then take something else, because of their screw up. The sales lady was very nice, but the people at Leo could have cared less. Not a very good experience at all. I live 30 min. from Leo so it was a real waste of time and apparently money to buy...
