This park has been open for maybe a year but it is quickly declining. The positive is my 5 year old loves it. The swings are low to the ground which make it easy for younger kids to use. The other equipment is fun and engaging for young kids who like to climb and slide. If you visit early your child can enjoy it. But the rubber ground is being pulled up, the equipment is showing signs of rough play and is broken in spots. If you bring younger kids I’d recommend not visiting once school is let out. Older elementary kids run crazy with no regard for younger ones and often while parents sit in the car. Foul language by adults who are with children is common. Read moreThe city needs to regularly clean and repair this busy and popular playground. Due to the large amount of people that regularly frequent this playground, the rubber flooring has been gouged up, trash and junk has accumulated around the bench/wall area, and the chains on the bell have been broken off. The slides and walkways are dirty/muddy. There also needs to be a no dogs/pets policy instated if there isn’t already; during my time here today a teen girl had her large dog on the actual playground equipment, which is not only dangerous for the kids, but the dog, who could get hung from his leash accidentally. Parents of younger children beware of numerous sheer drops from all levels-- not suitable for tiny children still mastering balance or with low propensities for self-protection. A stand of swings sits nearby and a little climbing "mountain" are the only alternatives included.. Great place to explore for slightly older children!
