To Hunter Blair - I'm really sorry to hear you had such a bad experience at TPC. It would be interesting to know if the "woman" was part of the congregation, or the staff.

Like any good church, not all the people in the congregation are at the same spiritual level, none of us are perfect, so we're all a "work in progress." Also, all people are welcome, the goal is to lead them to salvation and let Jesus transform them into better human beings.

Yes, disruptions, talking, crying babies, unruly kids, etc. are handled by the ushers in order to allow others to concentrate on and receive the message. The ushers are all trained and their training is not to "move" people, who are talking, to another section, because we don't have a "talking" section in the sanctuary. Truly unruly people, who don't settle down, would be asked to leave the sanctuary.

I don't think you gave a fair assessment of the church. By giving the entire church a one-star review for what is obviously an isolated incident. Most likely the situation you experienced was handled by someone who has no connection to the church staff. I worked at Lockheed Martin for many years and there were 1,200 engineers in my department. I remember one of them who graduated from Texas Tech very well, he was a terrible engineer and had to be fired. Should the company stop hiring TT graduates? Is TT a horrible engineering school? Would it be fair for me to say that?

I've been attending TPC since it started and can guarantee that what you experienced was not the norm.

This is my second church home family. I keep coming back because of the love. 💯 percent of the time I come away healed, restored, uplifted, encouraged, and ready to go and spread the Kingdom. I love the people. I love the Pastors at TPC. Pastor Ray is approachable, warm, and... Stay with me, I'm trying to put into words...he teaches, by example, how to live in community with others by this sincere desire for authentic relationship with everyone. Alot like Jesus, yes? A friend to all. I Iove the ministries here..those that build up the members and those that reach out to the world. I enjoy the teaching. I noticed when I put a CD of Pastor Jeff's in the car player one day, my spirit literally leapt for joy within me at the sound of his voice... Very welcoming, Have just left this church after being invited by a dear friend. Thank you for the warmth and hospitality you show everyone who walks thru the doors. I was greeted by friendly helpers the whole time and shown how to have a hot cup of coffe at the “coffee bar”, lobby area is beautifully appointed and modern without being harsh. I believe the praise and worship team is a family, they are PROFESSIONALS! Some of the harmonics were stunning and unexpected, made my ears perk up to hear it, Thank you was a DELIGHT! Solid teaching, all Gods colors represented, Pastor was gracious enough to let us out sooner than I thought, that was a plus. Thank you to every hand and smiling face that reached out to greet me, I was very welcome.
