What a beautiful park! We visited here on a warmer day in winter. The lake was frozen over, so we took our daughter out on the ice and walked around a bit. The lake was split in two: half was for ice skating, the other for ice fishing. Both places were packed on a Saturday afternoon.
Parking is limited. We circled around for a few minutes to find a place. This was a particularly beautiful day. That might change depending on the weather.

This place has jaw dropping beauty and the walk isn't challenging or rough. You never know what your going to run into on this walk. From all kinds of birds, elk herds, deer, otters and fish jumping it's just a masterpiece. The trails are always clean never ridden with trash or vandalism like down in Denver. My family enjoyed walking around the park and seeing wildlife, including fish, a variety of birds, and a herd of elk eating dinner within feet from us. We came back a couple mornings later to rent a paddle board and enjoy some time on the lake. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys the outdoors and finds themselves in the area. The park was busy both times we were there in the evening and in the early afternoon on a weekday.
