I am an Event Planner for an Independent Senior Community and have been taking large groups to dine for 19 plus years. We have been everywhere from Subway sandwich stores to Flagstaff House and The Brown Palace and everywhere in between. Yesterday, I had a reservation for 28 for brunch at Keys on the Green. We arrived at our reservation time. There were several tables full on the patio and two in the dining room. We were sat and drink orders were taken in five minutes and brought in about 15 minutes from our sitting down. My second driver and myself sat at a two top close to our four other 7 top tables. It took about 30 minutes to place our food order which started to frustrate me. There were four wait staff plus two bus people, so plenty of people to service the not so large dining area. After we all ordered it took 45 minutes for my other driver and myself to be served. We had ordered pancakes and french toast with nothing else special. At the time we were served I asked out waitress who was waiting our other tables where their food was and was told it was on the way. So we started to eat and food kept coming out of the kitchen but not being served to our tables. Again I asked where the food for our tables were and the head waitress said it was on its way and food kept coming out and going to other tables that were sat after us but were smaller tables. Finally after an hour and forty five minutes of no one communicating with the people and talking to the waitstaff and finally the manager (bartender) who was apathetic at best, we said we were going to leave. They tried to start telling us the food was in the window and we said we were leaving. FINALLY, the manager said he would take care of everything and we left without being fed. It was shameful and I would tell anyone McDonald's at least can take care of customers! To post I had to put 1 star but I choose not to put any star rating as it is abominable and not worthy...
Read moreWe used to go all the time for their prime rib dinners on Fridays and Saturdays at least once a month because the value and taste for what you got. It has been about 3 or 4 months since we had been there due to a busy summer schedule, but this past Friday was a complete let down and had it been our first time there we probably would not return. Prime rib was smaller and cooked well done vs what we originally had ordered medium rare. The stake was just average at best and I guess we should have asked to have another one prepared but normally they always get it right the first time. We were with our out of town guest and didn’t want to complain but after we left, they said they weren’t all that impressed. Service was horrible as well, we had to ask every time for a drink refill or if we could order food, this waitress will not last there. We’ll come back in the Fall and give them a try again but if it’s the same as the last time we will mark this place off the list. Overall they used to have the best prime rib, I hope they don’t get complacent and think people will continue to return if it continues like it did when we took our out of town friends there, it is becoming a luxury to go out to dinner with the economic increases and we should at least get something decent for the...
Read moreFound a fly in the French onion soup. Informed staff to which we were informed by management, that can be expected if seated outside (which YES, way to state the obvious- that flies, bugs, bees, will fly around in outside air, and if not paying attention, can fly into one's food)... however, this fly quite clearly been sitting- saturated, clearly quite dead and drowned out in this pot of soup for quite some time. Which although flies are very gross and that deems unsanitary conditions, accidents do and can happen, and I can understand that. What I didn't appreciate, and hence what left me encouraged to leave such review, was the unprofessional, very rude management and staff, considering all that was being asked was for our French onion soups to be comped, as it was more than evident that the fly was sitting in the soup, prior to it being served to us, and to which there was quite the conflict just from asking them to do the bare minimum, which was just to simply take off the French onion soups. Perhaps, I am just used to more equipped establishments who are more educated in regard to customer relations/ communications and marketing, rather than being argumentative with the customer. Would not recommend this establishment or return back, solely for the reasons...
