Lynx Lake sold me on the Prescott area! When I visited here, the place was not very crowded the sunset was beautiful, the trees were extremely green, and the lake was calm.
I was visiting this place from Washington DC / Maryland / Virginia area, where all of the national parks are completely overpopulated every day of the week. Seeing this place and how clean it was and how easily accessible it was from the town of Prescott sold me on moving to the area one day!
If you're on Google and you're looking at reviews to figure out which lake is worth your time, I would definitely visit Lynx Lake and the other lakes in the Prescott area, they're super quick to get to and beautiful! I'm extremely excited to fish this area along with the other lakes in the area.
Once again I really have to outline the cleanliness of this place, as it sets the standard for all other national parks to emulate. I had a great time with my dad walking around the lake on the trail that goes around looking for fishing spots and getting excited about water sports!
I definitely recommend visiting this late next time you make it to the Prescott area, it's only a 10-minute Drive, if that, from the hotel that we were staying in at the Holiday...
Read moreThis is for our Campground and the Lake area recent stay... We were in campsite #5 for a week of tent camping with friends. It is a double site, so it does costs a little more, but we had plenty of room for 3 tents, and they were spaced with plenty of room for a little privacy. This site does have a fire ring and 2 picnic tables. It is about 200 feet from the toilets (men’s & women’s flush toilets), and that was also the closest water hose-bib. (Note: the restrooms are not cleaned daily, just 3 times a week; Monday, Thursday,Saturday) The campground was mostly quiet, even with the 2 campsites close to us full. We did have morning traffic noise from Walker Road. The lake was nice, even though the Lynx Lake Store and Marina was not renting boats during our stay due to “COVID” we did really enjoy the Lake Loop Trail, and walked it daily. The seemed to have people fishing and just enjoying water sports daily. (Small boats, paddle boards, kayaking) During our stay, the Lynx Lake Cafe, Store & Marina was only open Thursday-Sunday (And if you forget anything, Costco & Walmart are less than 30...

How do I love thee Lynx Lake? Let me count the ways. One, two, three, eleventy billion.
Being just an hour and a half north of Phoenix this is an easy trip to escape the rat race. The campgrounds are amazing, the scenery gorgeous, the lake pristine, the air fresh, the trees green, the kayak rental company and its brilliant employees, the escape... priceless. I wish I could live there. I always want to get there and never want to leave.
Wait a minute. I hate it, it's horrible, don't go!!! Can't have more people find it and get it too crowded. Trust me, stay away Phoenicians!!
My only issue (see the Lynx Lake Cafe review I did) is one person. That angry, aggressive and rude parking jerk at the Cafe. No, that's not his job, he's just a hateful person and I hope one day learns a lesson. And it wasn't me he yelled at and disrespected so it's not personal. A jerk is a jerk amd this guy is a jerk. :)
Oh Lynx Lake my Lynx Lake, how do I love thee? Eleventy billion and one..... ...
