This is beautiful short hike. The first part uphill on the large road is sharp uphill and will leave you short of breath. To get to the top takes about 30 minutes. Then you can see flat mountain 🏔️ hikes. Some are shorter some are bit longer, some are close for the animals/ plants. On the top is always bit windy. Right know is very windy (January). Walking down to the left side down is even more Windy because of the valley (White ranch) and the road that makes current coming from the opposite mountains. There are some dears around. The bottom side of the trail where are the wooden bridges are extremely muddy and not fun, when you hike down. If you take left from the parking lot and try to hike it that direction (on the flat side of the trail) the first 10 minutes is going to be very muddy and not pleasant. Once you start going up Is becoming dry and of course there is...
Read moreLove this park! Perfect hike, & various difficulty unpaved trails. Pup-friendly, & folks are kind & courteous on the trails from my experience. The incline of the trail from the parking lot will def get your heart rate goin' - take it slow & steady if youre a beginner - but its so worth it! 🫀💪Up to the top takes maybe 30 mins or so at a steady pace. Do it, DO IT! Once at the flat top, any way around & down is calm & great views! 🏙🌳 You might even see a buck hiding in the tall grass if youre lucky! 🦌 🅿️ Plenty of parking on this side of the mountain 🚲Bike fixing station & tire pump for the bikers 🚰 Water fountain for you & your pup 🚽 Clean restrooms with flushing toilets. Trails & amenities are well maintained - overall a wonderful place to...

But it isn't by any means impossible, and if you put some effort in, you can see the beautiful sights at the top. It's good for photography, inspiration, and just plain happiness. There's a lot of wind in some places, almost none in others. There is amazing scenery anywhere you turn, and with a coat or jacket, you can stay up there and just be calm and happy. Of course, there are many tall cliffs, so I suggest staying with your children for everyone's...
