Colonial Park Gardens — Attraction in Franklin Township

Beautiful rose garden in new jersey 🌹 would be better to visit by late May . We visited on May 25th, all flowers mostly bloomed..but still some of them taking time to bloom.. ( Free , No ticket needed when we visited) So many varieties n colours of roses there even could see black roses as well.. all had their names on side. Lovely atmosphere to sit and enjoy the fragrance all over the place . Pets not allowed in the garden, we brought lunch and ate at the park side near to the river. Had pleasant day out with family. I really like to walk around these gardens and the property surrounding the gardens. Wonderful mature trees provide shade in the summer and beautiful color in the fall. You can also walk on the nearby canal path. Plenty of parking, benches and restrooms are available. I love the rose garden but note that this is open only during certain hours. There are plenty of places to sit on a bench, lie on the grass, enjoy a shady gazebo, try to figure out your favorite rose (and whether scent or appearance is more important!).
