Have you been to NJ’s most beautiful FREE rose garden?🥀☺️ 📍 Rudolf W. van der Goot Rose Garden (located within Colonial Park in Somerset) 🌹Address: 156 Mettlers Rd Lot A, Somerset, NJ You can also park in Lot F, if Lot A is full, and walk about 5 minutes to the rose garden. Date I visited and took these videos: 6/16/24 The blooms still look great! The best time to visit is early-to-mid-June, so I recommend checking it out soon before the bloom ends! Colonial Park is massive and you can easily spend the afternoon exploring the trails and other gardens it has to offer. Happy exploring, and don’t forget to follow me for more fun things to do in and around NJ and the Northeast!😆 #nj #newjersey #centraljersey #northjersey #somersetnj #rosegarden #njthingstodo #njplacestogo #visitnj

The best part was visiting the nearby Rudolf W. Van Der Goot Rose Garden, where I enjoyed walking among the beautiful roses. The garden is well-maintained and has a variety of roses in different colors and shapes. The smell of the roses was heavenly, and I felt relaxed and refreshed. The garden is free to enter, and there is a bike rack where you can park your bike. If you want to take professional photos, you need to get a permit, but otherwise you can enjoy the garden as much as you want. I also visited the nearby Colonial Park, which was also very beautiful and peaceful. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves nature and flowers. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget.

Beautiful place. I have done a few photoshoots there, as well as just visited to walk around, take some pictures and enjoy the beauty of this place. I don't know all the plants, but I know when I see roses and there is at least a dozen or so variety of different ones throughout this garden. There are other plants as well and a little pond, where the lilies grow and lovely little visitors look for bugs to enjoy their meal. If you enjoy nature and / or photography, this is a beautiful place. Recommended it to some friends and now they have one more favorite place to visit. Sharing some pictures that I took at...

This beautiful, tranquil and peaceful jewel of a rose/flower/plant garden is located within Colonial Park, which is part of the Somerset County Park system. The space is very well maintained thanks to volunteer gardeners. You’ll find a vast variety of flowers (mainly roses) and plants that are all tagged with their names and helpful botanical info. The Fragrance and Sensory Garden is a wonderful treat to explore. Many paths and trails to traverse as well as benches for sitting and relaxing. Visiting this garden as well as parking are free and most of the area is handicap accessible (There are a...
