This was by far the best part of our first time Colorado experience! Great people, really kind and knowledgeable about what they do. Put Put was our guide and he was amazing! I would definitely ask for him if I returned to this location! This tour was worth every penny! The views were amazing and the snow mobiles were truly an adventure!
As a first timer not knowing what I was getting into I read everything and called ahead with questions. Colorado is NOT the kind of vacation you just show up and figure it out. Especially coming from a southern state. Preparation is key!
Here's the nonnegotiables; Book in advance. Each tour was fully booked so every walk up was turned away. Layer up. We drove up from Denver where it was in the teens but by the time we made it to winter park it was -18. Gloves. Make sure you bring some "cold weather gloves." We had some $19.99 "pseudo snow gloves" from academy that were "Okay " but definitely could have been better. Wool socks and snow boots. Again, I bought academy $40 boots for my son (16 yrs old) since we are from Houston and I figured I would never need them again. My daughter and I got the cheapest snow boot from Sun and Ski. That too was a mistake. All of our toes were cold. Even with wool socks. I bought toe warmers which helped a little but seriously. Spend a little more on the boots. You will thank yourself later.
My mistakes that you can avoid: Purchasing the Ski bib and Ski jacket for both myself and my son. That ran about $300 on Amazon. When really we could have rented them for $6. The caveat there is that is we go again then we will have everything we need. But I wish I had skipped buying the gear and purchased warmer boots. The lady in the office felt sorry for me since my birthday was ruined by a cancelled flight and oh by the way all that pricy gear was in my luggage. She let me wear one of the Ski suits and didn't even charge me. It's only $6, but she didn't have to do it. Make sure you take all your stuff when you leave. Sounds simple but my son left that pricy new ski bib I got him from Amazon. But guess what. I realized it the next morning and called to ask that just maybe....maybe they would find it. Well not only did they find it they friggin mailed it to my house so I wouldn't have to drive back out there! Now that's customer service! Don't buy the pictures from them. The ones from our phones were much better than the ones I bought. When you get to the top take as many pics as you can when the guide let's you take pictures! Play in the snow! We did!
All in all this was one of the best trips I have ever had and it's primarily because of the snowmobiling experience. The pictures were amazing! Do yourself a favor and get your own snowmobile! It's so worth it! My kids and I will never forget...
Read moreDear Colorado Adventure Park Management Team,
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the experience my family and I had at your park recently on 12/31/2023. Despite booking our trip days in advance and eagerly anticipating the tubing on the slopes that your park is known for, we were provided with no service whatsoever upon our arrival.
It is deeply frustrating that we paid for an experience that we did not receive whatsoever. Our expectations were set high, and we made plans and arrangements in anticipation of a fun and enjoyable time at Colorado Adventure Park coning from out of state on family vacation from over 16 hours away. However, our experience fell far short of what was promised and expected.
To add to our dismay, our attempts to seek redress through your customer service channels have been met with refusal to provide a refund or even an apology for the lack of service. Not only did we not receive the experience we paid for, but we also encountered a complete lack of accountability and responsibility on the part of your staff.
As a result of this unacceptable treatment, we have taken the necessary steps to escalate this matter. We have contacted the attorney general's office, and they will be investigating the issues we encountered and the poor customer service we have received.
I am reaching out to you in the hope that we can resolve this matter amicably and swiftly. We demand a full refund for the services that were not provided to us as agreed. It is our sincere hope that Colorado Adventure Park will take the necessary steps to rectify this situation and ensure that other visitors do not face similar disappointments in the future.
I kindly ask that you respond to this review at your earliest convenience to confirm that our refund will be processed promptly. We trust that you will take this matter seriously and take the appropriate actions to address the issues we have raised.
Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. We hope for a swift and satisfactory resolution to this unfortunate...
Read moreWill not be returning. I’ve been tubing at Keystone several times, so I was thinking that this would be similar. It was not. Pros-1. Parking was close to the hill. 2. Pricing was cheaper than some places. 3. Hill was smooth and well maintained. Cons-1. Hill for small children was closed due to lack of snow. They make their own snow, but apparently only use it for the larger tubing hill(this is what we were told). If you have small children, call first so that you don’t waste a trip. 2. Staff in charge of ticketing was overwhelmed and didn’t seem to be able to answer questions. 3. Dangerous. No staff were present at the top of the hill to guide riders. This would be fine assuming that all patrons have common sense about safety. No mandatory safety video prior. There was one gentleman at the bottom of the hill that was in charge of clearing the area and making sure that no one got pummeled into. He failed miserably. This is not because of the volume of people coming down the hill-he just didn’t seem to be interested in performing his job. Several people were attempting to move the tubes from the bottom of the hill, but were run into by riders coming down. My niece was pushed so hard that she fell out of her tube and onto her head. Tickets were sold even after they ran out of helmets for children. Conveyor belt/lift should be wider to accommodate the tubes. Several riders got stuck or pushed to the side because the tubes were hung up on the metal on either side of the belt. 4. Dirty. Cow patties everywhere-watch where you walk! Ladies restroom toilet was old and dirty and had a small remnant of a handle to flush. Toilets are not that expensive, people. Long story short, I would rather pay a few dollars an hour more to tube in a clean and...
