We stayed at the 400 Baker Dr Unit 405 Winter Park property. The location in town was great and within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The condo size and layout were sufficient for our family of five, but the unit was far from ideal. I want to recognize the management company's communication with us initially - it was better than expected; however, once we expressed that we were checking out early due to an issue it was radio silence. Even several days later we had not heard back from anyone regarding our frustrations with the accommodations.
Our discontentment started with the beds. They were all uncomfortable and the majority of our family ended up sleeping on the floor. It was definitely not an ideal situation given the floors weren't exactly clean. We quickly realized that, while the surface level cleaning was sufficient (counters, bathrooms, linens, etc.), the rest of the condo was dirty. The ceiling fans, baseboards, floors, light switches, doors, etc. were filthy. We ended up purchasing Lysol wipes so we could at least wipe down the light switches and door handles during our stay. I won't fault the cleaning crew, as I assume they've done their job to the owner's/manager's expectations, but the cleanliness level was far from hotel-type standards.
As mentioned, we checked out early and stayed in a hotel (absorbing more expenses than planned). Absolute radio silence from the management company/owner since notifying them we were leaving early. Obviously that was a huge change and I was not able to do that amount, so I called and was greeted by the same man I talked to earlier in the day about military discounts, who sounded like he’d rather jump in hot lava than talk to me on the phone. I asked him if he would honor the price that changed within 10 minutes and he said “no”. Im irritated at this point over the price change, and the rudeness from the customer service rep and ask to speak with someone else and he refuses because “I’m giving you the information you’re looking for” And “check again in a few days because it’s dynamic pricing”. Read more5 star experience staying with this company. From the awesome accommodation which was perfect, to the stellar communication we didn’t have to worry about a thing. The unit we stayed in had everything we needed, in town and walking distance to everything, covered parking, comfortable bed and all cooking accommodations. The condo was even stocked with soaps, shampoo and body wash as well as toilet tissue and paper towels. The complex has everything that a nice hotel would have such as hot tubs indoor and outdoor, a pool and workout room and plenty of linens.
