Amazing Escape Room Freehold — Attraction in Freehold

I have done close to 200 escape rooms and this was the worst experience I've ever had, and it's not even close. I signed up with my friend to do all 6 of their rooms in one day. We were in a room and got stuck and needed a clue. We were waving our hands at the camera for a clue for 7 minutes!!! I eventually had to open the door and leave the room to find the game master. Apparently she was the only person working and had to leave from watching our game to set other customers up in their room. She told me she would be able to give us the clue shortly. So I went back into the room and we eventually finished it. When we exited that room, the game master never apologized, and in fact, never even acknowledged that this happened. So we told her we were going outside in between games for some fresh air. We spent less than 5 minutes outside and came back in ready for the next room. She opens the door to the next room, gives no back story, and says "you only have 53 minutes in this room because you are starting late". First of all, if we're starting late it's because you left us for seven minutes in the previous room. And second of all we told you we were stepping outside and you never alerted us that it would cost us this time! I was so upset that I wanted to leave at this point. Instead of an apology for leaving the previous room, she held it against us in the following room!!! We drove 2 hours to get to this place and do all of their rooms, spending close to $500 combined and were treated like garbage. Stay away! They don't respect their customers.

Update: They called me after i placed this review to offer me a one room refund in exchange for taking this review down. This seems very illegal...

Bekka was awesome!!

I was impressed with this escape room. We had a party of 3 and weve done hundreds of escape rooms. (and i mean that litterly) Our game master- or i mean our game wizard, (Bekka) was super kind and helpfull! We accidently drove to the wrong one and they not only fit us in, but they also gave us another room after with a discount for doing more rooms! We started with the comic book store. After some reaserch we found that is one of thier older ones, it was interesting however some puzzles relied on lights and they were difficult to see. The story wasnt liniar, and there actually wasnt even a story tbh. But it was decent, we escaped. The second room we did was their newest room, about a secret file. It had ALOT of puzzles. We were one puzzle off from finishing. If you are color blind i would NOT reccomend these rooms (as some of us are color blind lol). This room focused too much on doing one puzzle at a time, its less enjoyable. Also, the screen with stars (not trying to disclose the room) wasnt bright enough and was way too hard to follow, also only one person can do it soooo. But it was definitely neat as there was only one or two phisical locks. I definitely...

We were eight adults who have been to and enjoy the fun of escape rooms. At this location we did the great train heist. We had about 18 minutes left and asked for a clue because we were stumped on several parts. You are allowed 3 hints during the game. They gave us a clue of something we had completed already and we were frantically (in a fun way) asking for a clue that would help us. The same thing repeated itself for the next 2 hints. Giving us clues to things we already completed. Very frustrating!! We were have fun but my sons were annoyed. The rest of the time ran out as we were trying to get to the next steps. When the person who showed us the room in the beginning came in to tell us our time was up, we expressed our frustration but she said she was not the game master and could not explain why we weren’t given the proper hint. She did spend a few minutes with us showing the last few clues to us. However, and a HUGE disappointment, was she told us that you can’t really figure out the clue we were having a hard time with is because it was done wrong and needed a hint!! I hope the other challenges in this location prove to be more fair. We’ll choose a different...
