Read carefully before you visit this restaurant. Tonight my wife and I went there to try this place out since we love Mexican food and they had decent reviews. We waited an hour for our food. Meanwhile take out orders kept coming out of the kitchen left and right. The quality of the food was sub-par to say the least. They served my wife red canned red beans and tasteless white rice with her carne asada which she hated. My fajitas had an excessive amount of peppers and onions and very little meat. Needless to say we were not happy with our food. You thought things couldn't be any worse? When we get the check we come to realize that they automatically charged us 20% gratuity disguised as a "service charge" in the receipt and then have the audacity to write 10%, 15% and 18% suggested tips amounts. I had to ask the lady what the service charge was and then she was like yeah the tip was automatically charged. I have seen this in NYC done to parties of 4 and more but never to a party of two. And to make things worse they charge you an additional 4% charge if you pay with a credit card as you can see in the receipt attached. Like who carries cash with them these days?? So to summarize, if you visit this place you will wait an hour for your food and will be charged an additional 24% for bad food and service without your consent. Heed my advise. Save your money and go somewhere else. They took my money today but will never have me as a customer ever again.

Carne Asada That Hits Different This place is the real deal. You walk in, and the smell alone tells you you’re in for something good. The menu’s got all the staples—al pastor tacos, enchiladas, tamales—but let’s be real: the carne asada steals the show. Juicy, smoky, perfectly charred—it’s the kind of steak that makes you stop mid-bite just to appreciate life. Get it in tacos, a burrito, or straight up with rice, beans, and a side of sweet, caramelized plantains. That combo? Absolute perfection. Add some house-made salsa, and you’re golden. The owner? Always there, making sure everything’s on point. The staff’s friendly, the place is spotless, and the whole vibe just feels right. Bonus: it’s BYOB, so bring your favorite drink and settle in. If you’re looking for a solid, no-BS Mexican spot, this is it.

do not judge a book by its cover. The outside of the restaurant doesn't call out to you. But once you step in its cozy and the staff is friendly. We were there in the evening and it got busy. We had to wait a little while but we didn't mind we were busy talking and enjoying each other's company. The birrias tacos and carne asada were everything and then some. The only reason I gave them a 4 was because the kids didn't like the garlic shrimp.

I used to love this place. For years it was a great place to get Mexican food.

Now the place is different. The portions are small and the prices are higher. The quality of the food is subpar as well. Now it tastes like a reheated undersized, overpriced, leftover dinner that someone reheated. The last few times I was there the food came out cold and we waited a long time for it as well. I can't recommend this restaurant to my friends any more.

The meat in the fajitas is obviously processed. It looks nothing like strips of freshly cut chicken or steak. The shrimp still had their tails attached. My family ordered entrees and those were also underwhelming. They weren't enough to feed 200lb men and barely enough to feed a normal sized 5'5" woman. Their food was also cold.

(I remember when this restaurant used to be amazing, but it's not anymore and that's really unfortunate.)

They're cutting corners and it's obvious!

I gave them a few more chances because I figured they were having an off night, but the reality is that it's not the same restaurant I used to love. It's kinda just barely ok now. 2/5 stars. If I got sick it be one star. I guess they still have that going for them... You won't get sick, but you won't remember the meal. I'm sure there are better Mexican restaurants...

I almost don't want to say this to keep it just for us priveleged few, but I have to be honest. This food is AMAZING! It's clearly made from scratch and with all of the love and care that you would want from any authentic heritage style restaurant. The staff is friendly, and if you come often enough they genuinely care about you and your family. They remember my family's orders more often than not and always make great suggestions if you're unsure what you might like or aren't sure of ingredients. And even if you have an allergy and forget to mention it, they will whip that meal up almost as fast as you can tell them about the allergy. The place is super clean everytime we show up (never even noticed flies) and thankfully for us anytime we stop by our 6 top is available. It's not huge but we always catch them right before the rush. Even still, with a busy restaurant they still give you personalized service and food is delivered quickly and DELICIOUSLY. It's one of those places that you wish you could eat 5 different things but only have space for one (lol). Definitely stop by if you're I'm the area and in the mood for authentic...
