Shirdi Sai Temple(NTHS) — Attraction in Frisco

Temple is good, but the priest who was sitting in the chair was offering theertham. When we went to get the theertham, he inquired where we moved from and asked us to donate 365$ right away. Made my husband sit next to him to donate the money right away. He didn't leave my husband until he received the email confirmation, which was not fair.

I understand temples are a non-profit organization that needs our support, but they can not demand or order us to do right away the specified amount. It must be our wish how much we are able to donate. He didn't stop only with us. There were a couple of other families who faced this situation.

There must be peace when you go to the temple. Now, we are not sure if we will go to that...

Two stars as the temple is nice. However, the priest here is awkward, and keeps demanding donation (even though I voluntarily donate $20 for about every 4 times I visit the temple). Happened to me twice, and both times even I awkwardly excused myself. Planning not to visit there again.

Note: if temple needs money for new construction, I guess there are better ways to go about it. For example, temple committee can be more open about their books, and we know by how much are they short (something similar to gofundme). My personal experience is temple priest is very greedy person. He always targets new people to sponsor 365 dollars for everyday Archana which he promises which i serious doubt. Everyone goes to temple for personal peace and avoid any kind of unwanted disturbances but I always seen him asking get something or other from the people who comes to temple to buy for the temple all the time which I have personally experienced.
