This rating is mostly for the trail. It's very level/flat, shaded almost the entire way, and it's nice and wide so it's easy to pass others on the trail. We went on a Sunday morning and it was very quiet with only a few other people on the trail. Really nice location to walk the dogs and get some exercise! There's a stream that runs along the trail but it was mostly dried up in the middle of July, so be sure to bring water for your pups. From the main parking lot, we went east along the trail until we came to a big U-turn, then went back along the trail in the other side of the stream. We then kept walking past the entrance to the far end of the trail, crossed back over, and went back to the trail head. It was about 1.5-2 miles total. A very nice little walk and the...

The newly done playground is so fun. It has swings, climbing toys, tunnels, and the new Castle is made from plastic instead of wood like the old one, so it seems like it will last a lot longer. The visibility greatly improved with this upgrade, and they set it forget back from the road and parking lot, so you don't have to stress about kids running into the street. It's a lot bigger, and the kids absolutely love it. There's the main section then a little boat for smaller kids, so there's something for everyone! The trees were left around the park, so there's nice shade to set out a blanket or some chairs, and there is a pavilion further down from the park. The walking trail in back is beautiful and fun for the...

This is a very fun park for the kids to play make believe in the castle-like playground. Normally I would give this park 5 stars, but right now the bathrooms are all closed due to covid. When I called fruit heights City they said it's because they don't have enough staff to clean the bathrooms per the health department's requirements. I sympathize with them and see how it is out of their hands, but the parks sanitation is definitely down due to the bathroom being closed. What once used to be cute trails going through the woods are now emergency stops for all the young children who won't make it a 10 minute drive down to main Street to find a gas...

I went to visit this park/trail after reading the reviews and seeing the pictures! I am staying in the area for a few months, so I wanted to go and explore! It is a wonderful area and the trail is extremely well maintained! Listening to the creek, the frogs, the sights and smells of nature were all just great! The serenity, the peacefulness, and pure quiet is so welcoming and inviting! It is great for all skill level, old or young! Great for families and the kiddos! They will love and the playground! I did see several people walking their dogs on leashes and I did not run into or step on any doggie droppings haha! Enjoy! It is worth it!! Happy trails ~ Marie

Castle Park - 2 words that sing the melody of sweet satisfaction that rings through the ears of young children and budding adults alike. This medieval marvel is a beacon to all thrill seekers, ankle breakers, peace makers, and those who wish to hear the piercing screams of Paige Wadley. The castle park experience is an unpredictable journey that could take you to the top of the world, or sitting on a giant tic-tac-to board while your friends play tag. Described as "it feels like hunger games" you can not ask for a better time. 5 stars (to say the least).
