Mountain bikers, runners, hikers and walkers will find a soft, dirt trail underneath tall eucalyptus trees accesible from courthouse on the South side. On the North side, trail can be accessed across the street from Laguna Lake Park. Markers are on wooden posts and trail is bordered with succulent and vegetable private/public gardens. For thrills take Mountain bike trail on left---from courthouse--or right when starting from Laguna Lake.

This is a fun beginner/intermediate trail populated with friendly hikers and after the 1.75-mile marker you will find a fountain and a water bowl for thirsty mammals (see photos). Saw four Horses today and 3 well-behaved riders. Do take notice of the new water wise landscaping and horse/person crosswalk at Bastanchury Road (great feature). In addition a new log bench was added.

At the mile marker you can opt to go left (from south) or right from north for the shady section of this trail that ends on Euclid Street for a nice 3-mile route. Or you can continue straight under the bridge to Laguna Lake. There are some mosquitos, so deet based spray; hat and sunscreen are always good items to carry in. Juanita Cooke remains a scenic trail offering peek-a-boo views of private estates surrounding trail. Did you find a wooden bench at the fork in the trail. This is a favorite place to frequent with groups, family and friends. Ideally well shaded and has water for humans and four...

I come here almost everyday to run. The trail is always well maintained and the people who are running and hiking are always friendly. However, cyclists go very fast and the trail does have too many little loose pebbles. I have two ideas for how the city can recycle the loose pebbles: have the city take a dumpster and collect the loose pebbles and donate them to Habitat for Humanity ReStore on West Katella Ave in Anaheim and the proceeds will support the community of Fullerton and could perhaps be used to maintain the trails by hiring trash collectors or the city can have the pebbles dumped off at a landfill or recycling center that takes mixed heavy debris. I’ve tripped many times on those little pebbles. They’re a hazard for not just runners like me, but also cyclists since cyclists go fast and don’t have time to stop if they see a loose pebble that’s big.

Also, drivers often don’t pay attention, so you’ll definitely need to watch out when you’re waiting for the walking signal to cross the street on Bastanchury since the trail continues. Still, this is a nice trail. Juanita Cooke to Bud Turner Trail at Laguna Lake and then back is 5.8...

We wanted to look for a safe place to walk and get some fresh air. My brother suggested Fullerton and said there are tons of trails. We made our way to Fullerton in search of a trail and randomly stumbled upon this gem while driving around neighborhoods staring at houses taking “dibs” as if there was ever a chance we’d ever own any of them. We found a parking spot and asked around for direction and duration of the trail.

It was a super easy walk, unless you did the full loop which was about 6miles. From the start of the trail at the courthouse to the lake is about 3 miles. There are lots of people walking so you feel safe and the path is wide so you don’t feel crowded. There are a few shady spots along the trail (as in shade from the sun, not nefarious activities).

One portion of the trail takes you into a residential neighborhood. There are no signs or path so it can be a tad confusing but there is always someone on the path so you can’t get lost.

We were delighted with our find and have been...
