Stopped by Coffee Up and wow — that cranberry salad? Chef’s kiss. Fresh, tangy, and honestly one of the best things I’ve eaten this week. The place looks great too: clean tables, cozy vibe, families. All the good stuff.

Then… the service. Yikes. Three young ladies behind the counter, deep in conversation, barely noticed I existed. When I asked for help with the kiosk, I got a finger point and not a word, not a smile. When I needed help I had to say, "Come over here, please." Needed utensils? Another, "behind you," and still no eye contact.

At this point I felt like I was interrupting their group chat.

It’s a shame, because the food deserves better representation. Coffee Up could easily be a local favorite (and maybe it is) but I just wish the staff remembered that hospitality isn’t just handing food over, it’s about making people feel welcome.
