Fuquay Varina Community Center — Attraction in Fuquay-Varina

To be clear, I only gave 2 stars for this particular transaction. I've used the community center in the past, and had no problems then. That was about 5 years ago though. I recently reserved one of the Craft Rooms for a baby shower. Then plans changed, the expected number of people dwindled down to just a handful and the size of the room just wasn't needed. Being that the date was 2 weeks out, I thought that I would get a partial refund at least when I tried to cancel it. I was wrong. Rentals are non-refundable is what I was told. And my only other option was to transfer the date to some unknown date in the future in case I want to use it. My question was, so even though the room could be used by someone else, you would rather not refund the money and let the room be empty? The response I got was that they would like to NOT block the room off during that time so the custodial staff won't do any unnecessary set up, but also NOT refund my money either! Then the person manning the phone got upset with me when I stated that I would like for what I PAID FOR to REMAIN in the system! Great place to go for families or by yourself!! Has a small water fun area, track to walk or jog, swings, slides and community center walking distance to the park it self.
