Village inn & suites — Attraction in Galloway Township

First off, there was multiple shady people in the parking lot clearly handing each other “things” that one could only assume. Two men on the top level corner yelling at one another and smoking cigarettes and marijuana which kept us up for several hours. Soon as we entered the room the stench of mold was so evident we covered we for once wish we were wearing a mask. We arrived late from a very long work day/drive at this point we didn’t have any other place to stay locally. The air conditioner took 3 hours to even begin working. The carpet was terribly stained and clearly wasn’t vacuumed in quite some time. Pillows were useless and the bed left us both sore and uncomfortable the following day at work. We woke up itching like crazy and covered in bites all over. The shower walls had black mold. Only was given two very small bath towels or which one of them was used for the floor so I didn’t break my neck. I would not recommend anyone to this place. Not even someone who hired a “friend” for the hour. The illegal activities surrounding the place compiled with what looked like a junkie hang out most definitely should be the cause for this place to shut down. The owner was rude and extremely disrespectful. Also, charged out room additional fees which was considered...

(Note: This is the same review i just gave on travelocity.)This place was great - basic, but clean and a good value for our little budget. That we were there the week after Labor Day might've been a factor? Don't know. But we stayed 2 nights and it was really quiet, and cleaner than many others i've stayed at. The bedding (even, surprisingly, the coverlet, which was a light color, looked clean, though i still never take my chances with it lol), bathroom, the furniture. I'm paranoid about bedbugs so i looked for signs of them but there were none, yay. Like every single budget motel i've ever been in, the rug seemed like it could've used a shampoo. But we could deal with that. New towels were automatically left in a plastic bag on our door handle the next day, a strategy which we preferred. The mattress was comfy - one of those memory foam types. There was a little coffee machine in the room with filter packs of ok coffee, sugar, creamer, etc. I asked for two more (lol we stayed highly caffeinated) and they gave them no problem. Boyfriend had no issues using the wifi. So, we had basic needs, and all were met....

I never like to leave negative reviews on any place but this time I have to. I understand that these hotels in Absecon are what you pay for but this weekend was beyond horrible. The room was dirty and smelled musty. The toilet seat was broken and did nor flush properly. I had to ask for a second roll of toilet paper the roll that was in there to begin with was already used. The outlets were falling apart hard to plug anything in. The tiny fridge was literally on the carpet and you could barely open and close the door. The walls were paper thin and you could hear the people above us all night as well as a toilet running all night. And then the main reason why I booked the hotel in the first place was the hot tub. None of the vents worked and one popped out as I was trying to use it.......So disappointing when you work hard and just expect a tidy room and for the hot tub to work. No breakfast no-one to clean the room. I could go on and on but don't waste your money...
